Chapter 2: The encounter

Cane makes quick work of the gate. Just as we are about to lock it, someone pulls the gate to the other side, but Cane pulls back, I quickly lock the gate, but I see the look on their faces. They aren't backing down.

I back away pushing Becka and Cane behind me. Opening my palms up towards the intruders. I know Becka and Cane both know what to do. They know I have already put up a silencing barrier, not to wake anyone inside of the house up.

"Get inside of the house. Do not wait for me! And hide. Make sure to cast protective spells." I quickly link them.

As soon as I see them run, I let loose. The fire sprouting from my palms, engulfing the enemies. I hear the shrill shreeks of the succubus and see the werewolf transform. I run over to the side yard, heading to the back of the house, getting inside the training gym, and I make sure to lock it.

"It's a gift, I can't help it or turn it off. I see.. well, mhm.. how to put this. I see things other people can't." I try to give him the vaguest possible answer. My jealousy is creeping in as to why he cares so much about her, but I hide it as quickly as possible.

I see him finally getting up. Damn I thought that would last longer. He must be a really strong alpha.

"A seer.. but you smell human. Just what the hell are you?!" He growls out as he charges forward again, shifting into his massive wolf.

I hear him growl loudly at my remark as his wolf comes at me again, his eyes shining a marvellous red.

"Ahh, is the big bad alpha angry?" I taunt him a bit further. I need to finish this up. Becka and Cane must be worried out of their minds.

A loud growl comes from him again, I see him lower his head as he wants to hit me head on. Just as I open my palms to release my light, he jumps over me, shocked I try to recoil and turn, but it's already too late. He shifts back and traps me in his arms. My body became weak in his embrace as electrical sparks ripple through my body.

"How about you give me one?" I interrupt him quickly. I can't give him the answer he truly wants, not now, not ever. "We did not initiate anything. You came after us for no reason and trespassed into my land. You didn't even know if I did really see her true form. You damn well guessed!"

I don't know what to make of this situation anymore. When Daliah called me over at the party to tell me what she was suspecting, I couldn't believe it. She was frozen in fear that she would be exposed. I wanted to calm her down and told her it wasn't possible. I mean, the only people that would be possible to see her true form without her showing it would be seers, and there has not been reports of one in decades.
