Goldie’s POV I can feel the light hurting my eyes as my eyelids flutter open. “We only have a few minutes before they come and check on you,” Matty says. “To cut a long story short, we’re in a human hospital, and I haven’t been able to get in touch with the academy.” I went to speak, but my throat was so dry. I pointed to a glass of water. Matty grabs it and places a straw in my mouth. Afterward, he puts the glass down and hugs me. “I thought I lost you.
