Renee tried to flag down a nurse while staying tucked behind the corner, out of sight. The look the nurse gave her was… concerning. Like she was about two seconds away from calling security, because Renee clearly looked like she’d escaped from the psych ward next door.
The woman approached cautiously. “Um… can I help you?”
“Yeah,” Renee whispered harshly. “Do you know who the man is in my mom’s room?”
The nurse blinked.
“No idea,” she said, then immediately walked off like she’d done her absolute maximum amount of helping for the day.
