Alexander POV
“Please… have mercy on me, King Alexander. I can’t take it anymore.” Liliana’s screams echoed throughout the palace. I had lost count of how many times I had taken her already.
I couldn’t get Maria out of my mind.
I wanted her. I wanted to touch her again.
And when I found her this time, she would never escape from me again.
“I hate you, but I want you so badly. And because of the bond between us, I’ll possess you in every way I desire.”
Every time I touched Liliana, I imagined it was Maria instead.
I pulled myself out of her, gripped her hair tightly, flipped her onto her back, and spread her legs apart once again before thrusting into her hard.
“You’re mine, mate. Say my name now.”
I kept pounding into her roughly while Liliana cried out desperately, “Please stop, King Alexander… please…”
I grabbed her by the waist and lifted her slightly.
“Scream my name, you rogue. You’ll be punished for everything you’ve done until this very moment.”
Only after that did I feel a trace of satisfaction. I coldly threw Liliana back onto the bed.
An entire month had passed, and I still hadn’t found Maria.
How could a mere rogue hide this long without leaving behind a single trace?
My fists clenched unconsciously until my veins stood out sharply beneath my skin. The anger inside me was slowly rising.
A soft knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.
“Come in.”
My voice came out cold and steady, completely devoid of any sign of what was happening inside me.
I didn’t turn around, but I already knew it was Ivan. I kept staring out the window into the endless distance, at the gray sky whose color hadn’t changed for an entire week.
“King Alexander, the seer Morvian is requesting an urgent meeting. He and his kingdom want all the kings to attend.” Ivan’s voice was serious, without the slightest hesitation.
I closed my eyes briefly and took a slow, deep breath, trying to suppress the irritation beginning to creep through me.
“Send them to the throne hall and summon all the kings.”
He bowed and left. The moment the door closed behind him, I let out a cold sigh.
“Get out. Now,” I said coldly to Liliana the moment Ivan left.
“Exactly what I need right now… another vision… another disaster.”
I didn’t know how long I kept my eyes closed before Ivan’s voice reached me again, informing me that everyone had arrived and was waiting in the hall.
I ran a hand through my hair in annoyance before standing and making my way toward the throne hall with slow steps.
The moment I entered, everyone immediately stood and bowed with complete respect.
I sat on my throne with deliberate slowness, planting my feet firmly against the ground while leaning back against the cold stone seat. With a slight gesture of my hand, they all returned to their seats.
I turned my gaze toward the head seer.
“Speak, Morvian. What happened?”
Morvian stepped forward, his brows furrowed and his fingers tightly intertwined in visible tension. Exhaustion was written across his features even before he spoke.
“A new prophecy has appeared to us… something that will change the balance of every kingdom.”
Before he could say another word, his eyes suddenly turned completely white, and his body froze in place.
Silence filled the hall. Even the breathing of those present became audible.
“The moon will divide into three souls.
They will share the same blood.
They will arrive together at the same time.
They will possess a power capable of changing the balance of nature itself.
The first will carry light within his eyes.
The second will possess wisdom.
And the third… will be the darkness that consumes everything.”
Quiet murmurs spread among the kings as tension mixed with shock and suspicion.
“What does that even mean? I don’t understand anything.” Thalassira’s voice came quickly, far more eager than it should have been.
I shot her a cold glance.
One look was enough to freeze her in place.
“My apologies. I didn’t mean to speak without permission.”
I shifted my gaze back to Morvian, my expression cold.
“Explain further. What do you mean?”
The whiteness faded from his eyes, but he looked drained, as though the vision had consumed part of his strength.
“I mean… there are three unborn twins. They will change the balance of power. They will become stronger than everyone. No one will be able to stand against their strength.”
A slow mocking smile spread across my lips.
“Really? Three babies? Have you lost your power, Morvian?”
“King Alexander, I know it sounds strange, but for the past week, the people of my kingdom have all been seeing this prophecy in their dreams.”
I raised an eyebrow slightly.
Ignival spoke calmly, asking permission first.
“If you allow me to speak, King Alexander.”
“Speak.”
He stood tall, his gaze unwavering.
“The absolute power of the Lycans is rivaled only by the Witches’ Kingdom. After them comes our kingdom—the Dragon Kingdom. Then the Kingdom of Sirens and Mermaids, and finally your people, the Seers. This is the natural balance, and nothing can change it. Therefore, this must simply be a false prophecy and meaningless vision. And whenever something threatened the balance of the kingdoms, we killed it and erased its existence entirely. I don’t believe anyone here has forgotten that.”
“Your power lies only in destruction and ruin. My kingdom, however, is known for wisdom and enlightened vision. Comparing us is impossible.” Morvian replied with arrogance he didn’t even bother hiding, instantly igniting tension throughout the hall.
Voices began rising.
I calmly lifted my hand.
I didn’t need to say a single word.
Silence fell immediately.
I looked at each of them one by one before finally speaking in a decisive voice.
“We will quietly search every kingdom for any woman carrying triplets… or any kingdom hiding three children born together. If they truly exist, then the prophecy may be real.”
My eyes darkened coldly.
“And if that is the case… we will kill them before this vision ever becomes reality. Begin the search immediately.”
