Her hands were trembling as she made her way to that house in the car that went to pick them up from the airport.
Mary wasn't one to talk much, especially not with Alice. They didn't usually chat because Alice only shared everything with Sofia. She never had a special relationship with the others, but they did try to support each other when needed and when they were available. And at that moment, only Mary was available.
"Have you decided anything?" Mary asked, just to keep the conversation going. She didn't want to know anything about it and chose not to give her opinion, despite being so against it since she found out. Her mother also held the same sentiment and was staying at Mary's house.
