Chapter 6“What do you think?” Ryan steps towards a fancy-looking white car and presses a key. The lights of the car flash, and Ryan pulls open the door.
Jasper figures it’s an expensive one, judging by the upward-opening door and the sleek leather seats inside. Unable to think of a single other thing to say to show interest in it, he nods and says, “Nice.”
Ryan either doesn’t notice or doesn’t let Jasper’s lack of interest dim his excitement. While Jasper gets in, Ryan lists off the features as if the sales pitch for the vehicle is playing straight out of his lips.
