Chapter 14“You’ve still got his number, haven’t you?” Jasper turns to Ryan, who looks like all the air and blood has been snatched from his body in an instant at the sight of his ex, who is yet to say a word.
“Ryan, tell me you are not still in contact with him,” Jules asks, her best stern parenting tone unleashed. She isn’t taking her eyes off the screen either, and if looks could kill, Damien would no longer be a problem.
“I blocked him,” Ryan says, drawing in a shaky breath as he pulls his phone out of his pocket, going into his contacts and opening Damien’s number to prove it.
“Well, he’s about to get the shock of his life.” Jasper snatches the phone from Ryan’s hand. There’s no way he’s going to let Ryan make this phone call. He can already see the panic flooding over Ryan’s face.
