Leo’s already lagging, his eyes darting around the room for this guy he’d been fixated on during the show that Jasper hadn’t so much as noticed.
“Jasper, this is Maria, the show’s lead choreographer. Maria, this is my partner, Jasper,” Ryan introduces him to a woman in red stilettos and a retro-looking rockabilly style black and white polka-dot dress with a chunky red belt to match the shoes.
“Oh yes, the scandalous boyfriend.” Maria gives Jasper a curt nod.
Jasper is taken off guard by the comment. “I promise I’m not as bad in person as the media say,” he tells her, mortified to think this is how he’s known among the people Ryan’s been working with.
