Chapter 34Jasper feels very different as he sits at the piano to play the song that’d been the spectacle of most of their shows. The audience is silent, phone lights used and moved side to side as he sings and plays the song he’s been unable to get through without his loneliness getting the better of him. As he nears the end of the song, the part that’s been the breaking point for his tears, Jasper pauses for dramatic effect, giving a deep breath before singing with just as much emotion as every other show, but with the added love and sadness of knowing he’ll have to say goodbye again after tonight, for an unknown amount of time. And he knows it’ll hurt more this time.
