Chapter 29: Some News On Moon Stone

*Piper’s POV*

Jaxon held my hand tightly as he led the way back into the pack house. He walked quickly up the stairs and towards the room we now shared. We spent a good two hours at the pack celebration. Now it came time for us to have a moment to ourselves.

I could feel the desire and need for me as we walked. His dominance was practically radiating off of him. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t turning me on. I wanted him just as bad as I could feel him want me.

He opened the door to the room and shut it once we were inside. His grip on my hand remained as he pulled me against his chest. He moved my hair away from my neck and began to place kisses from the nape up to my ear.

“I love the way this dress looks on you.” His hands felt up and down my body as he spoke. “It hugs all your perfect curves so tightly. The problem is since you’ve put it on though I haven’t been able to stop thinking about taking it off of you.”

“Oh really?” I bit my lip in anticipation for his next move.

His hands reached down to the bottom of the dress where he grabbed it by the hem and began to pull it up. There was no zipper so it was fairly easy to pull up over my head. He then threw the dress to the ground, leaving me in just my bra and underwear. The hunger in his eyes only seemed to grow more intense.

I stood up without a word and headed for the bed. I reached back to unclasp my bra and threw it to the floor. I then sat down on the red silk sheets and laid back. I could hear Jaxon’s footsteps coming closer as I pulled my underwear off and threw them to the floor. I was more than ready for him.

He used his hands to roughly spread my legs apart. His lips moved to my inner thigh where he sunk his teeth into me to draw a few drops of blood. He then trailed kisses up my inner thigh. He stopped once he had gotten close to my aching core, he clearly had decided he wanted to be a tease tonight.

He blinked and his eyes met mine. “You need to get dressed. Nikko needs to see us immediately.”

I rolled myself off of him and got off the bed. “What’s wrong?”

“There’s been some news on Moon Stone.” Jaxon answered as he got off the bed and walked to the dresser for some clothes.

“Like what?” I asked as I went into the bathroom to clean myself up.

“He didn’t say.” Jaxon responded.

I finished up in the bathroom and went to the closet. I pulled out a pair of black leggings and a tank top. It was late so I wanted to be in something comfortable. Jaxon seemed to have the same idea as he was now in just a shirt and some gym shorts.

We walked together out of the bedroom and down to Jaxon’s office. Nikko was already waiting as we stepped inside. Jaxon locked the door and took a seat at his desk. Nikko took a seat on the other side of him. I turned the chair on the other side of Jaxon towards Nikko so I could face him as well. I could tell by his energy and the way he was acting he was nervous.

“What’s going on?” Jaxon asked with a serious expression on his face.

“You’re not going to like it.” Nikko warned. He then glanced between Jaxon and me. “You both aren’t.”

“When have I ever liked anything news that deals with Moon Stone?” Jaxon responded.

“As you both probably know, Matteo is aware that you two are now mated.” He began to explain. “He along with Alpha Bradley are livid about it.”

“How do you know this?” I raised a brow. I was curious about how he learned this information.

“While you guys were upstairs we had a visit from the alpha and beta of the Red Blood Pack.” Nikko began to explain. “They wanted to talk to Jaxon but when I tried to link I couldn’t get through so they ended up talking to me. Alpha Bradley and Matteo went to them to try to get them to join with them to take us on.”

“Red Blood is one of the ones who likes to stay neutral right?” I looked between Jaxon and Nikko.

“That’s right.” Jaxon nodded.

“They don’t want any part of this.” Nikko continued on. “They feel like it’s not their fight so they don’t want to join sides. They did feel like it was important for us to know what Moon Stone was up to, especially if anything happens with their pack.”

“Well get on with it.” I could feel Jaxon was becoming impatient. He wanted the details and he wanted them now.

Nikko let out a low sigh. “Alpha Bradley has started the process of transferring his power to Matteo. I had Dee double check since she still has access to their records and it’s all documented.”

“Of course.” Jaxon scoffed. “He lost whatever power he had from Piper when I broke the bond so now he’s pissed off. The only way he can attempt to take me on is to take what little power his father has.”

I should’ve seen this coming. Matteo never went down without a fight before, why would he start now? This only made me more frustrated and determined to find out what he wanted from me. Matteo had to know something that Jaxon and I didn’t to be this determined.

“So what now?” I asked.

Jaxon’s eyes looked at me intensely. “Bright and early we’re going to release the Silver Moon prisoner. Then I want you to train as much as possible while I figure out the next plan of action. Once Matteo’s an alpha he’s most likely coming for us and we need to be prepared as he’s too scared to come on his own.”
