Clarisse waved at Sam as he walked into the class at his tedious and reluctant pace. Sam had asked Clarisse to talk to Miss Claire. “This is the last time I’m letting you off the hook.” Clarisse had said to Sam. But she knew she would always get Sam out of trouble every time he created one. “It’s okay, Miss Holt.” Miss Claire smiled, assuring she wouldn’t be mad at Sam. “Thank you, I really appreciate it.” Clarisse felt a smidge of relief in her, “… I promise this won’t happen next time.” She said, wondering if she could really prevent this.
