CHAPTER FOURTEEN

1712 Words
The man who stood beside Maria turned to look at Sebastian. Without procrastinating, Sebastian’s hand exploded with goose flesh. His jeans unable to accommodate his massive butt as he tapped his werewolf powers. He jumped at the man, his long ivory canines ready to strike and dismember him. The man dogged and Sebastian hit the wall but quickly got to his feet. The man seemed to get something that looked like a wand out of his pocket. He gave his wand a casual flick, and the spell went flying to Seb. Seb jumped, and the spell hit the couch instead. He moved swiftly and bit the man’s leg. He whirled him in the air and throw him away. The wizard groaned upon hitting the wall. The man started crawling to his wand, but Sebastian reached the wand first and broke it. “Now let’s see how you gonna fight, you filthy wizard.” He smirked. Sebastian raised his hand to Jack, the man’s head off, but a ball of fire hit him. He went flying and broke Trevor’s new Tv. ********** A man who looked to be in his twenties entered Trevor’s office. He wore a bespoke suit of a distinguished pattern I bet you could never find on a rank anywhere. And a crisp white shirt that seemed to glow in the smoothing light that beamed at the window. “You called for me, Mr. Trevor?” He asked, closing the door behind him. “Yes, you can take a sit,” he gestured for the chair on the opposite side. “How are the accounts now? I presume you know I want to open a new branch?” “Yes, sir I know. And things a looking great as compared to the prior week. But I think your planes have to be put on hold for a while.” “If you say so. You are the bean counter after all.” Without waiting for a reply he pressed on those land phones it biped once and he said, “bring one cup of coffee and one green tea to my office.” “Alright, sir I will,” Meaghan answered. A few minutes later, Meaghan came with two cups on a tray. “Here is what you asked for, sir.” “You can put it on the table,” Trevor said. “Thanks,” the bean counter said, grinning at Meaghan who seemed to blush. Trevor looked from the man to Meaghan. “Thank you, Meaghan, you can take your leave,” Trevor said and Meaghan left. Trevor took a sip or two from his green tea and went on, “what is cooking between you two?” “Nothing, sir,” the bean counter replied. “Oh, if you say so,” but he didn’t buy it. It was just too obvious for no one to notice. ********** “Tie him with her,” Siobhan told the two wizards with him. They went and picked him up, but before they could reach where they tied Maria, Seb tapped his werewolf power. The two wizards went skidding on the floor until each bumped into something. Sebastian growled so loud that the neighbors probably heard him. The two wizards got to their feet and gave their wands casual flicks. When the spells on either side we’re working arms reach, Sebastian abruptly shifted like lava. Each spell slammed the wizard on the opposite side. They fall to their ass and become unconscious. Sebastian started running towards Siobhan, who seemed too relaxed. Before Sebastian could reach Siobhan, the tip of Amell’s tail went through the side of Sebastian’s stomach, breaking one or two of his ribs. “Sebastian!” Maria screamed, tears streaming down her cheeks. “You should have permitted me to deal with this s**t instead of those idiots,” he pointed at the two wizards and lay Seb on Siobhan’s feet. “You two,” he gestured to the wizards behind him. The bastard came with a lot of backup, three were already unconscious, but they kept on coming. “Get him out of my sight and cover him with something.” The two wizards went, picked Seb up, and the man was just groaning in pain. Blood trailing where they were dragging him. “Brother-in-law, are you ok?” Maria asked. “Yeah, I’m fine sister-in-law. Don’t worry.” He took a deep breath. “What is the plane now,” she whispered for only Sebastian to hear. “I’m just hoping your husband brings his ass here fast.” They all suddenly become alarmed as Maria’s phone rang. “Get me that,” Siobhan said. “Sir, it’s Trevor,” a witch said, taking the phone to Siobhan. “Let us invite him to the party, shall we?” Siobhan said. “Maria, I will come a bit late tonight,” Trevor said. “Oh, I don’t think that will be possible, little boy,” Siobhan answered. “Siobhan,” he sighed. “I didn’t know you knew me that well.” “Where is my wife? If you have done anything to her, I’m gonna kill you bastard.” “Empty threats. Listen, we gonna do this my way. Give me my book, then your wife and friend walk out of this house in one piece.” “Friend? Holy s**t, Sebastian,” he yelled whispery. “Indeed. Back to business. Where is my book?” “Point of correction, my book. And I’m not stupid Siobhan. I will give you my book but not until you free my wife and my friend, ok?” “First the book or they die,” he said in a frosty tone. “We can do any exchange thing then.” “Alright just bring your ass here as soon as possible.” Before Trevor could reply, the line went dead. ********** “You know your name is a girl’s name, right?” Sebastian asked, looking at Siobhan. “What did you say, you little rascal?” Siobhan spoke, going closer to Sebastian. “Just a fact,” Maria answered. Siobhan changed direction from Sebastian to Maria. He looked at her for a heartbeat, then slapped her so hard that blood appeared at the corner of her mouth. Instead of crying, she spite the blood on Siobhan’s face. “You won’t get away with this, you old bastard,” Sebastian wheezed, trying to loosen up. “That little boy you say,” Amell spoke. “Yeah, the one that kicked both of your asses the other night,” Maria answered. “Your husband just got lucky that night. Besides, I have something that belongs to him,” Siobhan said. “The wand?” Maria asked sarcastically. “Not just that, little girl,” Amell spoke. “What?” She replied. “You will find out later. Can you cover their mouths they are infuriating me with all their questions?” A young, beautiful-looking witch went over and covered their mouths. ********** “This is when you are shutting off my son,” Mr. Jamison spoke. “Yes, Mr. Jamison, I had a few things to wrap up,” Trevor replied. “Oh, ok. And are you ok you look pale?” “I’m fine, don’t worry. But I have to go. See you tomorrow.” He rushed to his car and drove at hyper-speed. As he reached halfway from his house, his phone rang. He turned and picked it up. But before he could answer, he bumped into something or someone that went flying, rolled over the top of his car, and landed at the back. Trevor hit the brakes and jumped out of his car. An old man lay on the road, blood coming at the back of his head. Trevor kneed down, felt the man’s pause, and sighed in relief. He went back to the car, picked his phone up, and dialed the hospital line. But no one was picking up. He tried several times still no response. Trevor looked at his wristwatch: it was three hours till midnight. He started pacing around. He has those two to rescue, but he also couldn’t leave the old man lying there. The man wasn’t a heartless bastard. “It is just a few minutes from here to the hospital.” He went over and shoved the man softly in the car. “Don’t worry sir, we will be at the hospital in no time,” he turned, hoping the old man would reply, but nothing. Twenty minutes later, they reached the hospital. He took the man out and started heading to the door. Before he could even reach the door, a tall and somewhat good-looking man came and helped him. “Thanks, man,” he shot him a grin.” As soon as they entered the hospital, two nurses came and took the old man out of Trevor’s and the young man’s hands. “Do you have a patient here or you work here,” Trevor asked the man. “My wife.” He looked down. “Oh, that’s bad. Wish her a quick recovery.” “Thanks. And you are Mr. Trevor, right?” “Yes, wait, how do you know my name?” “You own the most well-known cafe, who doesn’t know you, sir.” “Thank you for the recognition man,” he bowed his head. “Can you do me a fervor?” “What is it?” “I have to rush somewhere. Here is the old man’s phone.” He handed the phone to the man. “Can you call his wife or someone on his phone? Don’t worry about the bills I will pay.” “But what should I tall them?” “That he was in an accident. I will come and explain tomorrow. Please help me, man.” “Alright you can go, but do come tomorrow. I don’t want this to turn on me.” “Thanks, man.” He patted the man on his shoulder. “Here his my card you can hit me up.” Trevor went out of the hospital and climbed into his SUV car. Left the packing rot and hit the road. He tried to switch his phone, but it was not turning on “damn it,” he grunted. He finally reached home after minutes or an hour of driving. He shifted the car into reverse, backed up a few feet, and then pulled forward again. Turning the wheels so that the front side of his car faces the gate. He was not taking any chances if things were to go wrong. He climbed out of his car and strode straight to the front door. Without even knocking, Trevor stormed into the room.
