Daniel and Lee followed Helen as she headed down to the field carrying buckets, plastic gloves, and a loop of rope. Helen had been given the job of teaching Daniel and Lee how to milk the mussaurus cows. A stiff breeze tugged at their clothes, and Daniel wondered if there might be another storm on the way. Helen held out two pairs of gloves. “The gloves are for you two,” she said, giggling. “You probably won’t like the feel of their teats at first, so until you get used to that, you’d be better off wearing the gloves.” “I feel sick already,” Lee said. “Do we have to do this?” Helen giggled again.
