"I'll get you warmed right up!" The man said, smiling. He opened two little black iron doors next to the fireplace stacked with wood, and flame climbed greedily through the logs at the touch of a match. In minutes, Gwen could feel the heat reaching out to her. "How nice! I never saw a fireplace with little doors in the wall like that before." "Every room has one. Guess it was the only way they knew to heat a house when this house was built over a hundred years ago." Turning to the mirror, she looked at her tired face. The mirror reflected a mocking, slightly crooked smile. She sighed aloud. "I'm coming, Fred." When Gwen looked around, Fred had disappeared. He was gone, and she had to find her growling stomach back in the Kitchen after walking down the long hallway on the second level.
