Evan’s POV Before moving to New York City, I used to jog every morning for at least two miles. So, I began getting up every morning on the weekends and jogging again, for two or more miles from the guest house down to Martin Manor. It was cold and felt good to be exercising. When I arrived at the Manor, I would open the woodshed to see if Gwen had enough cut wood. Jake would take care of keeping it supplied. I made arrangements with him to allow me to fill it on the weekends. I began cutting enough wood every Saturday. It helped to work off the s****l tension that was building within me. I had not exerted myself physically like this in a long time. Lily would let me inside; it was our little secret that I visited on the weekends to prepare the two fireplaces downstairs and add more wood
