Chapter nine

I Iay goodbye to Darlien and head off to spy on my ex with my mate. Goodness this feels weird. Grabbing a quick bite to eat Luke, Jake, and I head to the office and turn the monitor on with a live feed of the conference room. The room is empty but still one hour to go before the meeting is to start. I am so nervous to see Drake's face after the black magic nightmare. Luke grabs my hand kissing it, "I am here with you, he can't get to you." It's like he can read my mind sometimes. I do feel a little better knowing Luke is here. 

Slowly people enter the room on the monitor. "Oh it's starting, pass the popcorn," Jake laughs. Luke gives him a look and Jake is now very serious. "Sorry Alpha, just trying to lighten the mood." Luke rolls his eyes and we all stare at the screen.

After several minutes the table is full, about 15 people are sitting around the table. But no Drake. Both men and women from about 20 all the way up to 60 by the looks of them, all sitting quietly waiting looking at each other.

Several more minutes pass before the door opens and in walks Drake. My heart races, I know he can't see me but I am scared. 

*Flashback*

"Now I will take you" Drake smiles evilly. He pushes is c**k into me, I cry harder and harder as he thrusts. My body reacting on its own grinding on him. "Oh Ana, you feel better than ever. Always remember this p***y belongs to me not that beast" he thrusts harder. Although my body reacts like I am enjoying it all I feel is pain. My eyes begging for him to stop. I close my eyes begging for death, I feel his body tense as he begins to climax. Then nothing I open my eyes screaming in the hospital

*End of flashback*

My body is shaking, my breathing is shallow, my heart racing. Luke squeezes my hand bringing me back. I look at him and he looks so concerned, "beautiful if it's too much then you don't have to watch."

"No I need to do this, I refuse to let him control my life." My eyes move back to the screen as I try to control my breathing.

"Shall we begin then," Drake speaks over the group. They nod their heads without speaking. "The group of captured beasts needs to be moved, the plan is that in one week we will drug then load them into moving trucks. Silver chains will bind them to prevent escape. They will be moved to a new warehouse in the industrial Park off Sullivan. It will be just like the last move. Any questions?" Drake looks over the crowd around the table.

Everyone is looking at each other waiting for someone to speak. Finally a man in his fifties speaks up, "why don't we just kill them. The experiment is a failure. After years of attempting to separate man from beast all we have ever done is end up with dead bodies or deranged people. We have wasted time and money more than we is necessary to prove that this goal is impossible." 

Drake's face those with anger as he begins to yell, "Who the f**k do you think you are talking to? My father was on the brink of success before a beast killed him because one of you left the chains loose. We will continue his experiment until we succeed at wiping out all beasts." Drake's chest rises and falls as he breathes heavily.

A woman is the next to speak up, "Why should we even listen to you. Your ex is mated to a beast and the woman you left her for was a beast herself. You want to separate the beast from the man. Over the years it has proven to be impossible and yet you continue to try. I believe you have grown soft to the beast trying to save them. They are beyond saving; they are nothing but an abomination that needs to be eradicated." Several heads nod in agreement.

"Six months, give it six more months if we have no success then I will step down as leader and you may do as you please. Is that satisfactory to you?" Drake says with a large sigh. Everyone shakes their heads in agreement. "Good, then we meet with our teams eleven pm one week from today to load the beasts up." Drake leaves the room slamming the door behind him.

"If he doesn't step down, we kill him,"the same woman spoke up. "He has gone mad trying to succeed where his father failed. He will realize that he is no longer in control." Everyone nods as they get up to leave.

The room is empty as Jake turns the monitor off. "Well at least we know what they are doing now," Jake says. His eyes are filled with sadness and I know he is thinking of his mate.

"Jake, send a copy of the video to the surrounding Alphas. And call them for a meeting tomorrow morning. We need to have a meeting of our own in order to plan a rescue." Luke looks stressed but a small glimmer of hope can be seen in his eyes.

Jake leaves to do as he was told. "Well s**t my ex is really a mad man. How could I not see any red flags the whole time we were together?" I look to Luke, waiting for some kind of answer. How could I be so blind to Drake's evil all these years?

"Really it's simple beautiful. You did not know to look. I mean how could you, you didn't know of this world, you trusted the image he gave you of a man who you could trust. Most hunters are master manipulators, he is one of the leaders and therefore one of the best manipulators." Luke's words calm me. Looking back I can tell I never felt calmed by Drake, in fact he made me nervous, I always thought it was butterflies because I loved him. Now I see what that man really is and I can't stand him, I hate him. "Let's go beautiful, Ty feels like going for a run. Would you like to join us?"

"I wouldn't be able to keep up with Ty."

His eyes go gray, "Love you shall ride on my back." My jaw drops and eyes go wide. Ty laughs, grabbing my hand and leads me out to the forest edge. Luke strips leaving his clothes next to a tree. My panties are wet as I watch this sexy man stand before me nude. He sniffs the air and raises an eyebrow at me then laughs when my cheeks go red. I watch as his bones snap and realign to form his wolf. It looks so painful I just can't believe how he just does that.

'Yes it does hurt but the more you practice the less you feel it. For me now it's more like popping your knuckle just it's all over.' Luke speaks through the mind link.

'no beautiful, I just know you and your face showed pain but I know you are not in pain right now, this it must be the thought of pain'

'okay smarty pants, let's ride.'

Luke laughs through the link and Ty shakes his head like he doesn't believe what I just said. He kneels down on the ground so I can get on his back. He is large even on the ground he comes up to just below my hips. If I didn't know him I would be scared just by the size of him. I throw my leg over his back and dig my hands into his soft fur around his neck. Ty begins to hum, basically purring. Have you ever heard a wolf purr? It is so cute.

'hold on tight love.' I do as I am told as Ty stands up and starts to jog. Slowly he picks up the pace giving me time to adjust to riding a wolf bareback. It is liberating running through the forest, not a care in the world. Ty jumps over logs dashing all over, I have no idea how long he ran for or how far but he stops at a waterfall that feeds into a small lake. I gasp. It is so beautiful. He lays down so I can get off. I stand there taking in the sights as Ty goes to the water's edge to get a drink. 

He walks into the water and shifts back into Luke, he stands in about waist deep water. I start to enjoy a whole new view. My eyes travel down his chiseled chest, I linger on the scars and feel a tinge of sorrow before I follow down his abbs to that perfect v that disappears right into the water. "Enjoying the view beautiful?" Luke laughs snapping me back to reality. 

I look around the lake to the waterfall, "It is beautiful here, so peaceful."

"Join me in the water," Luke commands, this is not a request. I begin to strip out of my clothes, Luke watching as each piece of clothing hits the forest floor. I get in the water, the water is surprisingly warm, I walk right past Luke until I am chest deep. He smiles at me and walks out to where I am. He pulls me into a deep passionate kiss. I open my mouth allowing his tongue to dance with mine. He grabs my ass lifting me up, I wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. His manhood is stiff rubbing against my upper thighs as we kiss. I moan into his mouth, grinding my hips against his length. Without breaking our kiss he uses one hand to put his length in place then slams his whole rock hard c**k straight into me, I gasp but we never break the kiss. I must have fallen asleep because I wake up to Luke carrying me out of the water. When we reach my clothes he places me down to get dressed. He shifts back into Ty who lays on the ground watching me waiting for me to finish. I climb up on his back and he takes off running through the forest. By the time we reached the edge of the forest and Luke dresses himself it is now dark out. We head inside and Luke goes straight to the kitchen and makes delish grilled sandwiches. We sit there eating, I smile at Luke thinking about how lucky I am to have him.

"What?" Luke asks between bites

"I was just thinking how lucky I am to have you in my life."

Luke smiles, "I am the lucky one. I couldn't ask for a better mate or Luna. You are strong and smart, beautiful beyond compare." I begin blushing,. "and so dang adorable when your cheeks are red," he winks at me. We talk and laugh while we finish eating and go to bed, tomorrow we meet with the other alphas to plan a rescue.

Luke and I are standing in front of the pack house as the Alphas begin to arrive. Each greeting goes about the same.

Luke greets the Alpha by name then introduces me "This is my mate Ana."

"It is nice to meet you Alpha," I would reply.

"The pleasure is all mine Luna," sniff, look to Luke, "is she?"

"Yes she is human"

Then they nod and go to the conference room.

Once everyone is here we start making our way there. "Luke, is it really so surprising I am human?"

"Beautiful it is not uncommon for a wolf to mate with a human. But it is rare for an alpha to be mated to one. And the fact I haven't changed you yet. I just don't want to rush you, but believe me I plan to as soon as you are ready." He smiles at me and I smile back. I am a little nervous as you can feel the powerful energy coming from the room, it must be the fact that there are so many alphas in one place. 

Luke and I take our seats at the head of the table and Luke begins, "Once again I want to thank everyone for coming. We have finally had a break in the case of our missing packs. As we thought Draken is behind their disappearances."

Alpha Glen interrupts, "and how did you come across this information?"

"Well, Ana here was married to Draken but was unaware of his real job. He left her for another woman and we meet and I realized she was my mate. Took some convincing to get her to believe me about this world and the whole mate thing," a few alphas laugh at this. "Once we realized who her ex husband was she helped us hack his email and that is how we got details of the meeting we sent the video of. As you all know they will be moving the captives next week and  this will be our chance to rescue them. And hopefully put an end to Draken for good. Through his actions he has hurt many of my pack members and I am sure many of yours." Luke is confident as he talks not showing any fear to the crowd. He stands tall showing no signs of weakness. God he is sexy like this, I wish I could be so fearless.

Another alpha speaks up now,"I mean no disrespect but can we be sure this isn't a trap. No offense Ana but how can we be sure you are not a spy or double agent on the hunters side leading us to a tarp."

Luke looks angry and his voice only proves he is, "Ana is Luna of this pack you will show her respect! She has done nothing but prove her worth since I meet her, she is my mate and the Goddess would not make such a grave mistake! I will not tolerate such disrespect!" Luke is yelling in full alpha mode.

" How can we be sure she has not cast a spell on you to make you believe she is your mate. She has not been changed yet, none of us have seen her prove nothing. She has not sworn in as Luna. Hunter would not be above sending a slut to try and end us."

My eye begin to water as my character, my very being, is being questioned. "I am no spy," I say softly. 

Luke links me 'you tell them, say it loud with confidence, they need to believe you. I am here I will be your strength.'

I stand looking right at the Alpha doubting me. "I am no slut for one. I have had s*x with two men. Luke and my ex husband, Draken. I trusted this man, he was my highschool sweetheart, I trusted he told me the truth that he was an important business man who took business trips. If I am anything, naive sure, human most definitely, but a spy I am not. By no means I am not weak, I have not sworn in as Luna yet but only because I am not fully wolf yet. I have not become fully wolf because of the timing, do you truly believe now would be a good time to worry about the change or teaching me to to shift. Or how about the fact that I spent several days in the hospital in a black magic induced nightmare, where I was r***d and violated by said ex. Or would the time Luke spent in hospital after getting the scares on his perfect body. Alpa Max I am not a spy, double agent, or threat of any kind. I may not be wolf but I am Luna in all the important ways, oath or no oath I am loyal to Luke, I am loyal to this pack." I am breathing heavily as angry tears fall on my face.

"You are human, compared to any wolf, even an omega, you are weak. You want to act tough the I challenge you to a fight Luna," Alpha Max says Luna with a mocking tone.

"I accept, let's go now as not to waste any time" Luke looks at me in disbelief as I stand and walk out the door yelling back "if you speak true and wish to fight me I will be at the training grounds." I change quickly out of my dress and heels and into more appropriate clothing to battle in. When I get to the grounds all the alphas are standing around waiting as well as many other pack members. 

"Oh you came I thought you would chicken or and hide," Max says laughing.

"Before we begin I have some rules. " Luke says as everyone looks to him. "First no shifting. Second no killing." Through our link 'beautiful you don't have to do this.'

'Luke I do, they will never respect me otherwise. Even if I lose I will show strength.'

Luke nods then aloud "everyone out of the sparing circle but our opponents, you may begin."

Max ran right at me soon as Luke finished talking. I stand still watching him run, he plans to tackle me based off the way he leaves his arms down as he is running. I remain still and calm, waiting for the last second I duck down planting myself firm to the ground. Max has no time to react and falls right over the top of me stumble and fall. I jump up right away grabbing his arm  before he gains his footing back. Dropping to the ground, his arm between my legs in an arm bar. I lift my hips bending his arm backwards at the elbow.

'Beautiful he will not tap out you will have to break his arm'

I slam my hips up till just my feet and shoulders are on the ground. Effectively breaking his arm at the elbow. I release his arm and he rolls away from me screaming "you f*****g b***h," we are both standing facing each other I stand in a defensive position waiting for him to make a move. He takes a swing at me with his good arm. I push shoulder back dodging the strike, then grab his arm pushing my shoulder into his armpit. I bed forward using his own weight and size to throw him over twisting his arm. He lands to the ground with a thud on his back, I'm placing my shoe on his neck and pull his arm straight up, dislocating his shoulder before I allow his arm to drop by his side. I keep my foot on his neck looking him in the eyes I say "do I have to break your legs as well for you to submit?" I place pressure on his neck he struggles to breathe.

Max closes his eyes and and whispers "I submit."

Releasing some pressure but not lifting my foot completely off, "louder so everyone can hear you."

"I submit," he says louder this time. I take my foot off him and Doc runs out there.

"Luna are you hurt?" She asks me first.

"No Doc I am just fine, take care if him. his right arm is broken at the elbow the left arm is dislocated and his windpipe is at least bruised if not crushed a little."

"Wow Luna you did an amazing job. I am impressed." Doc says as she looks over his injuries, "all will heal quickly but your pride." Doc helps Max up he looks at me anger in his eyes.

"Alpha Max, some friendly advise. Never underestimate your opponent, remain calm watch your opponent figure out their moves and their weaknesses. Then you make your move and a win is easy."

Max nods his head and walks away. Luke and Darlien come rushing out of the crowd. Darlien gives me a great big hug yelling, "Ana that was amazing. I see you hold back when we fight."

"We train, I never want to harm you. Plus he has his wolf I knew I had to act quick and smart as he is much stronger than I am." Darlien nods and releases me so Luke can hug me.

"I am so proud of you. I surly thought you would end up in the hospital. Alpha Max is a powerful man even if he is not in his wolf form. But you surprised even me with your logical thinking a calm demeanor can you easily won." Luke's eyes are full of love and pride. "Alphas it is time we finish our meeting." Luke and I walk back to the conference room.

The rest of the meeting went uneventful, no one else spoke out of turn about me. The plan is to send several wolves undercover around the industrial park to try and pinpoint the warehouse where Drake and the other hunters plan to move the captives. Then on move day we will lay and wait until the hunters get out of the trucks to start unloading, then we will quickly take them out and drive the trucks to the nearest pack. Where all of the captives will be given medical attention and a psychological evaluation. 

Once all the alphas leave Luke and I eat dinner and head off to bed. As soon as my head hits the pillow I fell asleep.
