Present GRAYSON'S POV: “Oh, good evening, Grayson,” Corey said, infuriatingly calm. “I was just thanking this lovely lady for all her help.” “A ‘thank you’ would have sufficed,” I gritted out, glancing at Selene's still flushed face from the corner of my eyes. I knew I wasn't being subtle about this sudden bout of jealousy flaring through me. Corey could see it written all over my face, I was sure. Hell, that bastard could even use her against me but it was too late to cover up now. Still, I tried. “Miss Hale,” I said, bringing my tone back under control. “Could you please reschedule my meeting with Mr Rogers to tomorrow at 5?” She cut me a look, probably to remind me she had no interest in playing my secretary, but thankfully for both of us, she settled with only a nod.
