SELENE’S POV:
I hadn’t even read past the headline of today’s news when my phone rang, frighteningly loud in the still asleep house.
I didn’t have to read the name to know who it must be.
I smiled, picking up the call and Maya’s voice rang in the previous silence, still the same from those high school years.
“What the f**k am I looking at right now?” She asked, skipping past any and all formalities.
“Theo’s face?” I asked cheekily. “Can’t blame you if you’re tired of it by now.”
“Haha funny,” she replied dryly, followed by the clash of something metal hiting the floor. I flinched. “Why the hell am I seeing you and Grayson all over my insta? Please, for f***s sake, don’t tell me you’re actually dating him.”
“Do you think I’m stupid, Maya?”
“Most of the times, yes.”
