The Dream

Someone is following Ignisia, but she dared not look behind. She is already late.
"Hey stop! It's important. Please hear me out." He shouted from the back.
Ignisia couldn't spare even a single second on that guy and so kept moving forward.
"Okay then, if you don't believe me, then I shall never show you my face, but first you will have to hear me out." He shouted again.
"meet me at the gops at the usual time." This is all she could blurt out in the haste.
But then someone tapped at her shoulder. She still didn't turn back. "Ignisia, Ignisia." This voice, she has heard somewhere. It is not this guy but, suddenly, she opens her eyes to find Rimi waking her up. It's almost six. wake up. I thought you would be ready by now.
Ignisia suddenly grasped reality. She was indeed running out of time, but it was just for a run.
She woke up startled.
"Are you okay?" inquired Rumi.
"Yeah! just a bad dream I guess."
"oh! then you are fine. get ready, we are already late."
Ignisia was not feeling well. She stood up but felt weak. Rimi saw her getting a little off balance.
"Don't force yourself unnecessarily. It's okay if you take the day off. past two days you must not have slept properly."
Ignisia looked tensed. She was not really sure why she felt this way. It was as if some part of her was lost, which sucked away all her energy and enthusiasm.
"I want to go for the run!" she exclaimed.
"Okay, but we can go in the evening if you want. you don't really look fine to me. you should take some proper rest."
Rimi suggested.
Ignisa drank some water and thought for a moment. She looked at Rimi. she was already in her shoes, and joggers, all ready for the run.
"You should go for the run. Don't change my plans for me. Anyways I must have slowed you down."
"Are you stupid? It's you whom I am worried about, and you are asking me to go away? I am not going to leave your side so soon." Rimi hugged Ignisia. "I am there for you. you can share anything. is there something bothering you? you were just fine yesterday."
Ignisia was taken aback by Rimi's hug. She felt a bit uneasy but soon gave in to the hug. Hugs are so therapeutic she thought.
"Thanks, Rimi. this means a lot. And don't worry, I am just fine. You go ahead with the run. I will join you tomorrow."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, now go. I will just rest till it's breakfast time, and I will be better than yesterday." Ignisia squeaked.
"could you guys be a little softer? someone here is trying to sleep." Stallia murmured.
Rimi kissed Ignisia's forehead and said, "I am leaving. call me if you need anything."
As Rimi left the room, Ignisia laid down on the bed. She remembered the dream this time. Why didn't I turned back? Who was the person calling out to me? She wondered, and with that, she fell back to sleep.
They both met at the breakfast table at eight. Ignisia felt better after her second nap, and this time she didn't dream.
"So tell me about this dream of yours," asked Rimi.
"I don't remember it" lied Ignisia.
"OK" Rimi didn't pursue the question any further.
After breakfast, when Ignisia went back to her room, she took out her notebook and started sketching the place that she saw in her dream.
She drew the building towards which she was headed. It was an old three storey building, with closed window panes. There were two white statues kept at either end of the gate. On the right side, the statue was of a girl with her hands on the hair, as if trying to comb her hair out. The eyes, Ignisia remembered vividly, were looking towards the left. Her eyes were large just like Rimi, she thought. Was it Rimi's statute? she wondered. She has read somewhere earlier that the people you see in your dreams are people whom you have met or seen in your real life. Is this possible? It's just a dream perhaps, and she left the sketch incomplete.
It was at this exact moment that her phone pinged.
It was a friend request from Sameer.
Ignisia was astonished. Just the other night she was searching for his f*******: profile but couldn't find it and now she got a friend request from him. It showed two mutual friends. Ignisia a bit perplexed opened it to find PJ and Rumi to be mutual friends. She recollected last night's experience with him. She did find him a bit weird as he was constantly staring at her but he was PJ's roommate so eventually, she will have to get along with Sameer too. So she accepted the request.
But as she accepted his request, a thought crossed her mind. Won't it would be better if I just directly confront him?
She texted him.
"Hi, yo there?"
She waited for his reply patiently for a minute or so but when she didn't get a reply from him, despite him being online, she started typing again when a message popped up.
"Yeah, tell me."
"When did you create your sss account?"
"PJ created today itself."
"Okay! Did you have your breakfast?"
"Yeah, you?
"done. Is PJ around?"
"Yeah, do you wanna convey any message to him?"
"No, I just asked randomly."
Ignisia wanted to bring up his last night's behavior but she couldn't. She was really not sure if she would want to talk about this through texting. So, she asked him out in the evening.
As soon as she sent the text to him, she got anxious. What if he thinks of it as a date or something? what if he finds me weird? Hope he is not showing our texts to PJ!
When he didn't reply even after five minutes, she felt perplexed. She texted again.
"If you already have plans, it's okay. we can meet some other time. It isn't really important. I just wanted to talk to you about something."
The message got read instantly.
