I turned, my heart stopping as my eyes met Adrian’s father’s. He stood a few feet away, his tall frame clad in a fitted athletic jacket and joggers. His expression was equal parts curious and authoritative, his piercing blue eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at us. “What’s going on here?” Adrian’s father asked, his powerful frame filling the hallway with an air of authority.
