The day dawned bright and crisp, with sunlight reflecting off a thin layer of frost on the windows. I was still sipping my morning coffee when there was a knock on the door. I set my mug down, giving Lisa a curious glance as she passed me in the living room. “Expecting anyone?” I asked. Lisa smirked knowingly. “Oh, just someone who seems to have taken a liking to showing up here every other day.” I rolled my eyes but couldn’t hide the slight flutter in my chest as she opened the door.
