Adrian’s POV I paced back and forth in the conference room after the woman named Vanessa left, my thoughts tangled and heavy. Her words echoed in my mind. “I didn’t get the abortion like you wanted me to.” The accusation had hit me like a freight train, but the look in her eyes when she said it—pain, anger—had left me shaken. “Who is she?” he muttered to myself, trying to piece everything together.
