Lilith’s Pov
It had been a full week of endless, dizzying drama.
Between Nolan and Killian constantly trying to outdo each other, and Emily now away, off chasing her dream audition out of the country, it was safe to say my life was a whirlwind of emotions I wasn’t prepared for. Emily still called, still checked in every day, but it wasn’t the same. Her physical presence brought me a kind of balance I didn’t know I needed until she left.
So, yeah... I was alone.
And instead of sulking in the silence of my house, I decided I’d be doing most of my painting in the gallery’s workroom I had already designed. It was safer. Focused. It was also Bianca’s first day working with me, and I didn’t want to blur the lines too early by inviting her to the house. We’d keep it professional, for now.
