EVERY's POV. The first thing I noticed was the light. Harsh, bright, almost blinding, streaming in through a tall window. Birds chirped outside as if oblivious to the world, and their melodic calls only reminded me how out of place I felt. White walls stretched around me, sterile and unfamiliar, so unlike the cozy chaos of home or the tense, chaotic energy of Xavier’s Frat house. For a brief, disorienting moment, I wondered where I was. Not home. Not there. Where…? I shifted slightly, a strange weight on my arm drawing my attention. My gaze fell on the IV drip next to the bed, the clear fluid dripping steadily. A hospital sheet covered me, tucked tightly under my arms, the cool fabric brushing my skin.
