Octavia's Point of View The sun hangs low in the afternoon sky, spilling long shadows across Noctwyn’s pack grounds. The air is heavy with the mixed scents of smoke, healing herbs, and blood that has not yet faded from the soil. Everywhere I look, wolves are moving around, rebuilding walls, tending to the injured, and carrying supplies. It is all a little overwhelming. I wipe my palms against my jeans, trying to shake the edge of restlessness clinging to me. Eli has gone to fetch more water for the healers, leaving me standing near the center of the chaos. For a moment, I just breathe, watching the pack work together despite their exhaustion. They are strong. Stronger than I imagined after such an attack.
