Kai's Point of View The guest wing of the Lunaris pack house hums with quiet life, footsteps in the hallway, the faint smell of roasted herbs and pine from the open windows, laughter echoing from somewhere deeper inside. It is a sound I have grown up with, I have been to Lunaris more times than I can count. Still, standing here now, it feels… different. Maybe because Octavia feels different. Maybe because we do. Luke drops his bag on the second bed and spins slowly in place, his eyes are wide. “Okay, this is not what I pictured,” he says, taking in the high ceiling, the soft amber lighting, and the massive window that looks out over the forest. “You did not tell me this place looks like a damn resort.” I chuckle, tossing my duffel onto the bed I always take, the one near the window. “
