He came back at 4 am, covered in blood. Everyone else was sleeping while my impatience was waiting for him all night long.
My feet rushed over to his presence.
“Kairo?” His name rolled over my lips.
“What happened?”
A smile glinted on his lips and he wrapped his arms around my waist.
“Let me rest for a bit.” He whispered, resting his forehead on my shoulder.

“Let's go to your bedroom.” He muttered softly.
Grabbing my wrist, he ascended the stairs and my steps quietly followed. The scent of blood transferred to my body from his clothes.
