Everything changed overnight. Gelen confronted Josephine for her lies and lost everything. She was dragged to the open ground by the guards of the pack house on Josephine's orders.
Everyone from the pack was present to witness her suffering. The guards tied her to a tree. Her legs were stuck in a chain, whereas her hands were fastened behind her waist. There was a black cloth in her mouth, forbidding her from speaking.
Even the people of the pack house were part of the show. It was all Josephine's doing. She spread the rumor that Gelen was a witch.
The pack demanded her execution as soon as those words floated in the air.
“Why would she throw her under the bus? Doesn't she need a witch for her plan?” Keith stood beside me and whispered.
