Josephine was pretty worried about the ritual. She was losing her mind.
“You sacrificed Carlos and Dania, yet we achieved nothing. What are you even planning?” She raised her voice.
A breath slipped free of my lips.
“We need three blessed ones to complete the sacrificial ritual. Dania became a threat to our plan, so it was a wise choice.”
Josephine came closer and grabbed my neck.
“She's dead. Where will you get another blessed one to replace her?” Her eyes darkened.
“Yuri McKenzie!” Her name rolled over my lips.
Josephine furrowed her brows.
“Yuri is a blessed one?”
“Not exactly…but her body has a strange energy in her, and that energy is similar to a blessed one.” Words came out of my mouth.
