*Chapter 5: The Truth Revealed* As Sarah and Alex approached the cell, Max stood up, his eyes locked on theirs. "I don't know what's going on," he said, his voice low and urgent. "But I think my family is in danger." Sarah's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?" she asked, feeling a sense of trepidation. Max hesitated, looking around nervously. "I overheard something," he said.A conversation between my dad and someone else. They were talking about a deal, a big one. And they mentioned something about 'taking care' of someone." Alex's eyes narrowed. "Who did they mention?" she asked. Max's voice was barely above a whisper. "My mom." Sarah's eyes widened in shock. "What? "Why?" she exclaimed. Max shook his head. "I don't know. But I think it's connected to the company." As Max spoke, Sarah's mind was racing. She knew that she had to get to the bottom of this, to uncover the truth about Max's family and their company. "Max, we need to get you out of here," Sarah said, determination in her voice. Max nodded, his eyes locking on hers. "I know. But we have to be careful. "My dad has a lot of power, and he won't hesitate to use it." Sarah's eyes locked on Alex's. "We'll figure something out," she said. As they stood there, trying to come up with a plan, Sarah couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched. She kept looking over her shoulder, expecting to see someone lurking in the shadows. But every time, there was no one there. It wasn't until they heard the sound of footsteps, echoing down the hallway, that Sarah realized they were not alone. "Quick, hide!" Alex whispered, pushing Sarah and Max into the shadows. As they hid, Sarah's heart was racing with fear. Who was coming? And what did they want? The footsteps grew louder, and Sarah could see a figure approaching. It was a woman, dressed in a business suit, her eyes fixed on the cell. "Max Wellington?" she said, her voice firm. Max hesitated, then stepped forward. "Yes?" he said. The woman smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "I'm here to take you home," she said. Sarah's eyes narrowed. "Who are you?" she demanded. The woman turned to her, her expression cold. "I'm Max's aunt," she said. "And I'm here to take him home." As the woman spoke, Sarah felt a sense of unease. Something didn't feel right. But before she could say anything, Max's aunt turned to him. "Come on, Max," she said. "It's time to go home." Max hesitated, looking at Sarah and Alex. Then, he nodded and followed his aunt out of the cell. As they left, Sarah felt a sense of trepidation. What was going on? And where was Max's aunt taking him?
