Lola’s POV When I opened my eyes, I was alone, lying on a bed. The room smelled of antiseptic and drugs, and I hated that smell so much that it almost made me throw up. I tried to sit up, but my body was kinda heavy for me. I felt as though a brick was placed upon my limbs, yet I struggled as much as I could, wincing silently until I sat up. My mind was blank. Nothing was adding up. Some minutes ago, I was in a taxi, heading to a resort to wind down. But here I was, lying on a hospital bed as if I were a patient.
