Mariel Annarose Nicole “Naro” L. Alonzo is a Davao-based proud nonbinary and bisexual activist studying to be an LGBTQUIAAP+ affirmative clinical psychologist in the University of the Philippines Diliman. They were a fellow to the GlobalGRACE Philippines l***q+ Poetry Workshop, Ateneo National Writers Workshop, and the Iligan National Writers Workshop. Their poems—which have appeared in Likhaan, Voice and Verse, Philippines Graphic—have also been shortlisted in The Moth International Poetry Prize judged by Daljit Nagra and The Winter Tangerine Review Poetry Prize judged by Ocean Vuong.
