Chapter 3

Present: Meta Headquarters

The Meta & Human leaders gathered in the Meta Headquarters to discuss the future of their country since the Metas over thrown the government and made a lot of changes in the laws and the regulations same with the military they assassinated all the military commanders and generals who were involved in the experiments done so they had to fill all those empty positions with people they could trust, since John was already a commander in the military it wasn't hard to find honorable people to carry out the mission in the military however the challenge that was facing them was the government and police.

They agreed that commander John would take the responsibility of presidency along with Serge who would be Secretary of Defense and the rest of the unit's identity would not be revealed to the public they would be a secret unit, their job would carry out missions to stabilize the country and fight the resistance.

John: "Gentlemen any suggestions on the so called resistance issue?"

Chief of Police: "With all due respect Mr president I'm afraid that the situation is getting more and more complicated by time the crime rate is increasing because of the illegal weapons distributed by the resistance to the public claiming that they are arming the public against the Metas as they are a threat to Humans"

John clenched his fist and held back his anger as he understood exactly what the Chief of Police meant by what he said; 'The Metas' are the reason behind all the chaos in the country and as long as they are in power this chaos will increase.

John never wanted things to get to this but after him and his unit broke out of the lab and started going after the people who destroyed their lives the corruption ran very deep in this country till it even reached the president, they were shocked when they found out that although it was proven that only 60% of all subjects could survive 'the boost' as the scientists called it the previous government had no objections starting recruiting more subjects to take the treatment, they later ever proposed tests on children claiming that the younger the subjects the higher the success rate.

John and his unit couldn't allow the previous government proceed with their crazy plans and decided to over throw the whole government, they assassinated whoever contributed directly in the massacres and locked up the officials who approved and gave the green light.

John: "I'm fully aware of the situation Chief and if I'm not mistaken securing the streets is you and your men's job!!! I'm asking for suggestions if I wanted to hear whining I would have called my Ex-Wife"

The Chief of Police was very embarrassed and avoided eye contact with John, everyone in the room could feel John's suffocating aura some of them broke in sweat and almost fainted, Serge used his powers to make John calm down before he killed everyone in the room, John calmed down and thanked Serge through their mind link, Serge smirked and nodded to John.

John: "Again any suggestions GENTLEMEN!"

The vice president was a good friend of John and an honorable man that's why John chose him for the role

David: "If you would allow me Mr President I suggest that we hold a press conference where you can talk to the people, let them know that the Metas are not the enemy, the Metas don't roam the streets terrorizing the citizens stealing their livelihood and freedom but the called resistance, let the people know you sir people are afraid of the unknown and when they are afraid they would be desperate enough to join the criminals calling themselves the resistance"

John smiled after hearing David's suggestion although he held press conferences before he never did as David suggested he only went to give updates to the people like he used to do at the military with his superiors, but what David suggested is opening a channel between himself and the people which John though is the best solution for now.

Everyone agreed on David's suggestion and started the needed preparations.

John Mind linked Mike "Mikey I need you in my office in 15 minutes, use the secret door and don't let anyone see you"

Mike: "Yes Mr President on my way"

15 Minutes exactly Mike was in John's office John greeted him with a hug, even though he's the president now he still considers all of them as his sons.

John:"Hey son, I have a mission for you"

Mike:"Yes, Sir"

John:"The latest intel we had is that most probably the resistance leaders are in New York I want you to move there blend in with the people use your skills to get me the names of those bast*rds"

A year after their escape Mike's skill manifested and turned out that he could read people with one touch he would know almost everything about them.

Mike got all the info he would need and went on his way to carry out his mission, John informed the rest of the unit with the update and asked the rest of them to remain in their positions until further instructions from himself or Serge.
