CHAPTER 07

It has been a three weeks since I last visited Aizen and although I have this urge to visit him - I cannot and that is simply because the demons are starting to take the offensive stance and we are trying our best not to let them pass the border that we created separating the already purified land from the still corrupted ones. And every other two days, the demons are improving, it is as if they are completely adapting to our movements and they are creating ways in order to counter us.

It is a good thing that we are quite spontaneous with our attacks because although I hate to say this, the demons in this era are quite intelligent that they were in my past lives - and I personally think that it is both a good and a bad thing.

A good thing because I am able to enjoy fighting them because they already know how to actually strategize and read my movements and a bad thing because underestimating them is really not an option - at paniguradong pahihirapan nila ang mga buhay namin.

It is also problematic because if they get a lot more brainy then they are surely going to realize how to actually open up a portal to the other dimension and the humans on the other side will surely be at stake. And knowing that such thing is really possible to happen, I cannot help but to think of some ways in order to prepare for the worst case scenario. 

I hate to say this, but I really need to leave this place and go to the other side in order to supervise Aizen and as much as possible accelerate the return of his memories. And I am confident that even if I leave this place, my guardians will just do fine in protecting the boarders from the demons - because that is always have been their job right from the start.

Now, the only thing that is left to do is to actually talk to them about what I am planning to do because I cannot just leave this place without informing them before hand and I am sure enough that some of them will disagree with my plan but I also know that they will all end up agreeing anyways because they also know what is happening and I bet they too already started to look into what may happen in the future.

"Mommy, are you sure that you don't need me there?" - Sean asked and I just pat his head. Just like what I have said a while ago, that I am going to tell them my plan - well, I just finished telling them everything that I thought of and my plan in order to be able to prepare for the worst. And just like what I expected some of them indeed disagreed at first but in the end, all of the guardians agreed to let me go and stay in the other dimension.

First reason, just like what I have said earlier, I am going to accelerate the process of returning Aizen's memories because he is a great help in this fight - I am not actually sure if the other primos in my recent past life are also reincarnated, the probability is actually a bit low because in my other past lives there hasn't been any primos aside from the us that has been cursed into undergoing an unending cycle of life and death but if there has been primos reincarnated then I am going to do the same with them - acclerate the return of their memories.

Second thing is to protect that dimension because it is not impossible that there will be some demons who will secretly go around and feast on humans - I just hope that the place is still free from the foul stench of demons. 

Third thing is to investigate if that place does not really have magical particles around it - and that people does not really use magic and if that's the case then I need to find ways on what can those people use when the time actually came that demons are already roaming around in that dimension, looking for people to eat in order to satisfy their hunger. 

"You know I cannot bring you Sean, not only you but the others but even if I cannot bring you with me I could always call you so there is no problem with that" - I replied to him which is the truth. They are my guardians and we are all connected with each other - I only need to call their name and they will instantly appear right before my eyes regardless of the distance or dimension that I am in.

"Naelyon, Grock, Freya, Rempo, Slyfer, Astro, Igneous and Khufra, your duty is not only to protect the border but also protect Sean - although he is a phoenix it is obvious that it will take time before he is able to turn into a powerful one." - seryoso kong saad habang nakatingin ako sakanilang lahat. They are all looking at me as they synchronously nod their heads. "And also, if you need something you too can call my name, got that?" - dagdag ko sa sinabi ko at muli silang tumango. Mabuti na yung nagkakaintindihan kami dahil baka mamaya niyan ay may problema na pala pero hindi sila nagsasabi.

I know how to manage my time and I also know my priorities -- although making Aizen remember all his lost memories is also my priority, the Land of Thundra weighs more because I am its protector. I hate to admit this but I believe that Aizen will surely recall his memories when the time is right, I am just going to shoot my shot to speed it all up. 

"Then, I am going to leave now" - I said as I remove my hand from Sean's head. I snapped my fingers and as if on cue a portal opened right behind me - a portal that will instantly transport me to the other side. 

"Take care Astrid / mommy" - my guardians and Sean said synchronously with a smile plastered on their faces. I also smiled back and I even waved my hands before I completely stepped through the portal.

It only took a few seconds before I appeared in a very desolate place. Well, it is not that desolate because I can still see the busy city from here. Well, I don't actually know if it is just because of the fact that my eyesight's reach is not normal or the place I landed is really not that far but anyways. I am actually somewhat in a forest and as I roam my eyes I realized that I have been here before.

The forest and the vibe it gives off is so familiar and then I remember - this is the same forest that Aizen used to play with his pet dog when he was still a kid. Well, I really don't know why the portal landed me here but I also think that it is a great idea because I am not going to worry about someone actually seeing me going out of a mysterious thing.

And I don't want to actually erase someone's memory this early. Anyways, now that I am here, I need to accomplish a few things. First is to find a house to rent with the money I have in my wallet, Second is to enroll at the same school where Aizen enrolled and Third is to buy other necessities. 

How come I have a wallet and money? Nothing is impossible when you can use magic right? Anyways, let's get this over with.

"Thank you Miss Xenia for buying the house, matagal-tagal nadin akong naghahanap ng bibili kaso ayaw nila ng makaluma." - nakangiting saad saakin ng babaeng binilhan ko ng bahay na titirahan ko hanggang sa matapos ko na ang lahat ng kailangan kong gawin sa lugar na ito. 

Gaya nga ng kanyang sinabi, ang bahay na binili ko ay makaluma pero hindi rin naman ganoon kaluma. Kaunting ayos lang gamit ng mahika ay magmumukha itong katulad ng mga bahay na nadaanan ko kanina. This house is actually very convenient kasi napakalapit lang sa eskwelahan na papasukan ko na kung saan din pumapasok si Aizen which means I could just take a walk - well although I am still planning to buy a transportation that they call as cars. 

"Walang anuman po. I just transferred here so, I am not really that choosy when it comes to the place that I choose to live in" - I replied to her in a plain tone which is partly true. To be honest, there are really other houses near the school or I could just apply for that dormitory thing but I chose to buy this house instead and the reason is simple -- because it is already pretty cheap despite the exquisite materials used in order to build a two-story home. 

"Oh siya, aalis na ako para naman makapag-pahinga ka nadin at siguradong marami kang aayusin bukas" - she said with a smile plastered on her face at napatango nalang ako. Hinatid ko siya palabas ng gate, sumakay siya ng kanyang kulay pulang kotse at nang tuluyan na siyang mawala sa paningin ko ay pumasok nadin ulit ako ng bahay.

One thing I also like about the place is that there are only few houses around - which means I do not have to worry about neighbors actually seeing me using my magic - well, although I am still planning to build up a barrier around the house in order to create a facade to people who likes to eavesdrop.

Nang makapasok na ako ng loob ng bahay ay agad kong sinara ang pinto at nilock ko din ito. Pagkatapos ay inikot ko ang panigin ko sa interior ng bahay and I cannot help but to smile as I raise my hand and I let my magic encircle my palm. 

"Now it's time for some renovation" - I said and as if on cue a barrier encircled the entire house as I let my magical powers flow out of my body, controlling it using my mind in order to change everything that I want to be changed in the house. 

Well, just like what I have said a while back -- having magical powers is really convenient.

| A week later |

Its already been a week and I could say that I have finally settled down in this place. The interior design of the house fits my taste, I have already bought all of my necessities, food, clothes to wear, kitchen tools and equipment, school stuffs, gadgets such as phone and laptop because I heard that it is also a necessity, I also asked someone to put that thing called internet connection and cable in my home and many more. The only thing that I haven't bought yet is that thing that people in this dimension use for transportation which is called 'car'.

I still don't have a single clue on what I should buy, I already searched the internet using the phone I bought and the internet said that a Ferrari is actually a good car to buy especially if the driver likes car who goes like a speed of light but still there are other beautiful cars out there. Well, anyways I will just ask someone later since I am already on my way to my class. 

And guess what - Aizen is my classmate, It is simply because I already knew it before I stopped visiting him - just like I said I absolutely know everything about him and since I haven't seen him from quite a while then most probably I am going to find out some new things about him. 

"Alright class, quiet down because I am about to introduce to you our late enrollee from Vancouver, Canada. She just migrated here a week ago so please be nice to her and also don't do anything stupid" - I heard the guy called a 'professor' said and I guess that is already my cue in order to enter the class. 

Well, this is not the first time that I am going to introduce myself in front of my 'classmates' but still this is way different than my other past lives simply because there is no magic involved - but then again nothing has changed with my attitude.

I am still the cold hearted Astrid Xenia.
