Chapter 43
“A Pleasant Surprise”
POV Ayesha
We walk along the beach to the manor. Constantly tossing each other in the water.
“Ayesha! Alisha is not as strong as you. She doesn’t shift for another three weeks. She doesn’t heal like you do. Go easy. I swear I always feel like the adult. While you two just clown around.” She barks and stomps off.
Faith comes over and shifts to her silver wolf and dives into me. The three of us wrestle in the water for what feels like hours when Emerald tells us to go get changed for lunch. We race for the manor past the servants, leaving wet footprints everywhere.
When I’m heading back to the dining room after changing, I find Emerald mopping up our wet feet.
“Emerald, what on earth are you doing? That’s the servant’s job. Come, eat with us.” I demand
