“The Manor”
POV Ayesha
We get in the car and head out. I’m constantly looking behind to see if we’re being followed or wondering if Darwin has stuffed himself in a trunk.
We drive straight to the airport and get on a private plane. We arrived in Wolfbridge three hours later.
A limo picks us up from the airport and drives us to the manor. When we arrive, the entire staff is out to greet us. I find out that Melanie, our cook, has arrived before us. It’s nice to see a friendly face in the staff.
The manor is gorgeous. The walls are cream coloured with arched windows and high ceilings inside. There are young photos of Thanatos and Darwin with his mother and father. He looks so handsome. I run my finger along the photo of Thanatos.
