Lance looked over at Reggie and Grum who stood there frowning at Kailee. She was just standing there staring off in the distance. She had asked to be left alone. But Lance knew that she did not really want that. He sighed loudly and then decided that was enough. He strode up to her and placed his hand around her. He spun her into his chest and held her tight against him.
“Lean on me. Lean on us. Whatever it is, let us share it with you, please. Don’t shut us out. You are our family Kailee. We worry about you and care about you. We can’t ever leave you alone so please don’t ask us to.” Lance said in his gentle baritone voice. He could feel her body slowly relax in his arms and he quietly sighed.
