When Rohan walked in, he stared at Erika, his eyes sharp and cold.
“Tell me, how much more are you willing to trade our relationship for?” he asked.
Erika’s eyes widened. What do you mean?. Erika asked

“Since you already traded it for Lysandra, just give me a million, and I’m out of your lives,” Erika said.
“So this is who you really are? Everything is about money. You’re stooping too low just to get back at me.”
“Who said I’m getting back at you? All I need is a million, and I’m out of this place for good,” Erika replied.
“I should have known your true colours. I wonder, if I hadn’t walked in, how far would you have gone blackmailing Lysandra?” he said.
“Blackmail? How am I blackmailing her? Shouldn’t I be angry that you cheated on me with her? But now that I’m asking for a million, suddenly I’m blackmailing her?” Erika shot back.
Rohan’s jaw tightened. “You are so cheap, Erika.”
“Rohan, don’t say that. My sister is not cheap. All she wants is to break up with you and receive a breakup fee,” Lysandra said softly.
Erika’s eyes widened. She didn’t remember asking for a breakup fee. All she wanted was money to save her mother, and now Lysandra was twisting the truth.
That meant Rohan hadn’t listened to the whole conversation. He had only heard Erika’s last statement, where she asked for a million.
Lysandra was trying to make Erika look bad in front of Rohan.
“Yeah, you’re right. Just give me the money, and you can be with whoever you want,” Erika said. She didn’t see the need to explain herself to someone who had already betrayed her.
What mattered now was saving her mother from the kidnappers.
“If you really wanted money, you could have told me, and I would have given it to you. But resorting to this trick… was it really necessary?” Rohan asked.
Erika felt truly annoyed. “You? I caught you with my cousin. I didn’t say anything. I didn’t even question you, and now you see me as the bad one? Aren’t you ashamed?” she snapped.
“You didn’t question me, and you didn’t react. Do you know why?” Rohan said.
Erika’s eyes widened.
“You stayed calm because you’ve been cheating all along. You thought I wouldn’t find out,” didn’t you?.
“What kind of insult is this?” Erika demanded.
Rohan threw several pictures at her. They scattered across the floor. Slowly, Erika bent down and picked one up.
She froze.
It was a picture of her with a man in a hotel room. Her hands trembled.
“What is the meaning of this?” she asked.
“Maybe you should explain to us how you planned to give a million to your lover,” Rohan said coldly.
A smile flashed on Lysandra’s face, though she quickly lowered her head to hide it
Maggie folded her arms around her chest, silently waiting for the drama to unfold.
Magnus froze. Erika’s eyes widened in shock

Erika stared at Rohan, a smirk forming at the coner of her mouth
Her eyes turned to Lysandra, you like playing innocent don’t you, if I find out that you are behind this, you wont like it. She said each word deliberate
Lysandra lowered her eyes as if afraid that Erika might hurt her
Erika took one deliberate step towards her father
She stared at him coldly, if anything happens to my mother, I won’t spare any of you.
Her eyes drifted to Rohan one more time, she wanted to say something but her throat went dry_
Then She walked out of the office, closing the door behind her, she knew that from today she’d nothing to do with the Sinclair family and Evermont family any more.
The moment she stepped into the elevator, her body almost gave away
But it wasn’t time for her to break, she still needed to find where her mother was.
She took a cab, to Blackwood cooperation, the moment she settled in her manager noticed
Miss Sinclair you are late today, he said
I’m so sorry manager Bellamy, she said a bit nervous
Did you finish the report, I told you, the boss will be back in a few days, he said

Erika’s mind was racing, in just one day, her life had become a complete mess
And now that the boss was coming back, she felt a bit nervous, she’dnt started on the report and rumours had it that her both was ruthless
Ever since she started working at Blackwood, she had never met him, by the time she was hired, he was on a business trip
She’s not sure which day, he would be coming ,she needed to save her mother first before handling work issues
That evening as she was winding up her work, her phone buzzed with notifications
Erika’s hand trembled, she reached for her phone and opened the message
You have one day left, Erika panicked, this is more serious than ever
Before she could even react , a file was placed on her table
Take this file to assistant Ashford, at Blackwood palace hotel, please be there by 8pm room 206, Bellamy said

No but. Its a very important file for Blackwood so deliver it safely
Erika, almost cried on the other hand is her work and her mother’s life on the other hand
She had no choice ,by 8pm, Erika was already at 206 Blackwood palace hotel
She knocked on the door, and no one answered, slowly she pushed the door,
The light was dime, before she could react a hand grabbed her and shoved her inside
Erika barely had no time to react when she felt lips pressing against hers
Her eyes widened in terror, the kiss was quick and deliberate
She tried to pushed away but a grip tightened around her hands, trapping her in the middle of the wall
She could barely see the person, let me go, Erika said

Erika’s body shook
Help me..he begged, his eyes focusing on her face though his vision was a blur

Erika froze ,his body was burning
Erika’s mind was racing, before she knew it. Her body started weakening, under the effect of the drug
And slowly she gave in...
The night was intense, and Erika slept soundly ,her eyes opened in a terror, she almost screamed
A handsome, elegant man lay besides her, his lips pick and soft, his skin looked as if it never walked under sunlight
He looked delicate yet even in his sleep he carried undeniable aura
His eyebrows slowly started open, Erika tried to move but her body sored as if hit by a tractor
When he opened his eyes, he froze

Her mind drifted to the card, she checked and the card was there, she breathed a sigh of relief
The moment she stepped out of the suite,
She froze.
Cameras flashed at her, different reporters had swarmed her.
Miss Sinclair... Is it true that you cheated on your fiancé Rohan Evermont? One reported asked.
Is it true that you asked for a million dollar to give it to your lover? A northern asked
Erika had not prepared for this, she didn’t know how to respond.

At the coner of the hospital, her eyes caught Lysandra watching from a distance while smile tagged at the coner of her face.
Elena’s eyes darkened. She knew Lysandra must have been connected to the scandal.
Erika locked the apartment door behind her, and she sank onto her couch, breathing heavily. It wasn’t easy running away from the reporters.
