Bane POV
The study door crashes open with enough force to rattle the frames on the walls.
"Alpha!" My beta, Lionel, stands in the doorway, breathing hard like he ran the entire way from the border.
“ We have news from Graham's territory."
I don't look up from the reports I'm reviewing.
"And? Has the old bastard finally died? Because unless Graham's corpse is being dragged through the streets, I don't care about…”
"He has been overthrown," Lionel interrupts.
Now he has my attention.
I set down my pen carefully, giving Lionel my full focus. "Overthrown? By whom?"
"His son. Aaron." Lionel steps into the room, closing the door behind him. "He led a rebellion during the lunar eclipse ceremony. Graham is imprisoned now and Aaron's claimed the Alpha position." He informs me.
