"Fine." Aaron finally steps back, and the loss of contact makes Melody whimper. "Give me a minute."
"We don't have a minute." The lady's eyes flick to me, and the hatred in that glance is unmistakable.
"Your little reunion needs to end now."
The possessive way she says "your" makes something ugly twist in my stomach. This woman is clearly important to Aaron considering that he doesn't snap at her.
I also realise that she loves him. I don't remember her from my past life and that makes me wonder who she is.
Could she be his lover? The reason he didn't want to acknowledge our bond in the first place?
