Alice wasn"t sure what to do with the chapters. She tucked them away, waiting for guidance. Around the time that the Tibetan made his first contact with Alice, Foster was appointed as national secretary of the Theosophical Society. A few weeks later, Alice was appointed both editor of the sectional magazine, The Messenger, and chair of the committee running Krotona. They both earned ten dollars a week.
