It was a Friday morning in late February, two days before Dorothy"s twenty-second birthday, and the air outside was crisp and fine. The girls had gone for a walk in the park with the dog. Her cat, Tom, was curled in a ball by the fire, and Foster was downstairs with the newspapers. They were having a day off from the office. At last she had a chance to work on the second chapter of her book on the initiations of Christ. She was determined to make good progress but as she reflected on the baptism scene in the Bible, she found herself back in India in the monsoon, reliving her complete physical, emotional and spiritual breakdown.
