The trouble with having a million dollars to spend on a house in Ballarat was it cast a wide net and almost all the higher value houses online were too large and too new. Heather scrolled down. She had seen most of the listings before. She wanted one of those nice old houses near the town centre, walking distance from the train station and in a quiet leafy street of established properties. She knew they existed. Last Saturday, taking advantage of the early summer weather, she had taken the train and strolled down the streets to either side of the shopping centre. Nothing was for sale.
