The Vampire's Throne

2nd Bite

He kept on looking at me, as if analyzing. Then, after he was done, he said:

-You have such a sweet scent, you must be delicious

I felt my cheeks getting hotter, my heart was beating faster than ever. The excitement was overwhelming, I froze right there, not knowing what I could possibly do in that situation. He then slowly approached me, grabbing my waist and pulling my shirt down.

-Such a fragile creature you are, I could break you in just an instant

-I don't think I'd mind that

-My my, you're quite a naughty girl aren't you?!

-I…Am not usually like this

He exposed his fangs, ready to bite me, when suddenly another vampire appeared, calling him out:

-Crown Prince, your majesty!

The Prince stopped and pulled back from me, covering his mouth, as if in regret.

-Sir that's the girl, the one who's going to give blood today

-Yes I am aware…Tell me your name!- he said while composing himself

-Kristal, my name's Kristal

-Well then, Kristal, he will lead the way and explain you the rules

-Oh I see, thank you, Crown Prince- I bowed to him

He got closer to me again and whispered in my ear:

-Behave now, I'm sure we'll see each other again

Having said that, he disappeared into thin air.

-Hey Human, let's go! I don't have all day

-Y-yes, I'm coming

I followed him to the blood extraction room. It was nothing like I imagined it, the room was dark and cold. There was only a chair and a vampire woman beside it holding a syringe and a blood pack. They told me to sit down and extend my arm. The rest was easy, she extracted the blood and filled half of the blood pack. After she was done she told me:

-You will probably feel dizzy and weak, so try not to make any sudden moves

-Alright, thank you

She then left. I tried to leave as well but my legs gave out, I couldn't move a muscle. So this is what it feels like to have your blood taken away. Definitely not pleasant.

After resting for a bit, I finally managed to get up and leave. This time I didn't get lost and successfully found the way out. Although I hoped I would bump into the Prince once more before leaving. At the exit, the same vampire from this morning was waiting for me. He explained when I'd have to return and warned me not to be late.

From there on I wasn't needed in the palace anymore, so I went back home.

Upon my arrival, my grandparents showered me with questions, but no matter what they asked, I could only think of that moment with the Crown Prince. He left me ecstatic. I wanted to see him again so badly I didn’t know what to do with myself. But I had to keep it together, so I answered all the questions my grandparents asked.

I spent the rest of the day lying around, as my grandparents forbid me from helping them out. They feared I would pass out. After all, they undergo the same procedure every week and know the strain it puts on the Human body.

At sunset we had dinner and right after I went straight to bed. Unfortunately for me, I was still burning with excitement, not even the fatigue could calm me down. I had become blinded with passion. Eventually I managed to fall asleep, but even in my dreams, that moment burned like the boiling water of a hot bath, so scalding yet so pleasurable.

The next day, I was still feeling a bit dizzy and weak, but I managed to get out of bed and do my usual morning routine. When I got down to eat breakfast, my grandmother had prepared a feast for me. She said I had to eat to become stronger and recover quickly. Even though I was grateful for all the food, it was too much. I couldn't possibly eat all of that, so, with much difficulty, I managed to convince her I was feeling much better.

During the day we had to take care of the field, feed the animals and go to town to buy some food. My grandpa took care of the field, my grandma went to town and I was in charge of feeding the animals. The entire day I spent thinking about Prince Seth, that man was constantly in my mind.

-When will I see him again?

I was now talking with chickens, just how crazy could that man drive me?
