Battle of the Factions Arc: Soaring Raven

1315 Words
The appearance of a descendant of a god is a shock to everyone on top of the hill in Fantasia. It gave a moment of silence for the whole fight. Diether revealed himself ignorantly that he forgot descendants of gods are rare. Right after his match finished, he immediately fell on the ground. He must have forgotten the he is not used to using Suthain’s gift yet. Elio immediately rushed towards him. He was able to catch Diether right before he completely fell on the ground. A few seconds later, the fortress is back to where it was. Diether was able to defend his own fortress. Looks like all of the challenges that appeared are already done. Elio carried Diether back to our own place and upon exactly reaching our position, Diether tried opening his eyes. “Are you alright” we both asked. He nodded his head slightly while looking at us. “You really did an awesome job there.” Elio stated. Diether smirked positively. We do after all have a chance to win this. Although I am not completely sure about it, but I am positive we have some fight in us to withstand the top factions. The next round was completely random. Dio announced with excitement the next round and faction. Perhaps, he was excited because the next round is thrilling. “That was a very astounding performance! Who would have known that we will be seeing a descendant today?! Putting that fact aside, it is time to reveal the next round!” Dio said. “Our next round would be Crystal Vanguard! And our chosen factions are…” he prolonged. There was a total silence in the whole area. Everybody was way too nervous to check and see who the chosen factions to fight against each other were. “Volant Argonauts vs Uphill Warriors!” he shouted. Everybody suddenly gave out a round of roar and applause. It looks like they have been waiting for the Volant Argonauts to show their skills in terms of fighting. I guess this is the perfect time to analyze them too. Crystal Vanguard will help us understand our enemies more in terms of fighting. The chosen representatives of the two groups walked in front with their crystals floating around them. There is a silent and serious momentum wrapping around the middle. The chosen representative for the Volant Argonauts was their leader: Spencer. His aura is very unique in my own perspective: a flock of feathers with surrounding purple magic energy. His flow of energy seems to be very concentrated and controlled well. On the other side, there is a disturbance with the flow of energy for the representative of Uphill Warriors. I guess he is quite a bit nervous on his battle with Spencer. Even if I were in his place, I’d be very nervous too. Then Dio started counting. The pacing in his countdown is slower than before, making it look like he is trying to give more pressure to the fighters. On his last count, he immediately drew his gun and shot it while aiming at the sky. Spencer started opening his arms and a flock of feathers started revolving around it. He immediately rushes towards his opponents as his crystal follow along. After reaching some studs near his opponent, he immediately jumped and swung his arms in front, creating a gust of purple energy and feathers around his opponent. His opponent seemed to be threatened enough that he maximized his defense. “Sky Raven’s Feathered Wing Gust!” Spencer casted. He possesses the earth affinity and there were huge blocks of rocks surrounding him. His crystal was totally fine however it looked like he took some damage. There were scratches around his arms and some parts of his lower clothing were torn. The rocks faded slowly as Spencer takes his steps backwards. He paced himself again and changed from the attacker to the defender. His opponent started throwing various attacks towards Spencer and he was dodging them completely fine. He started spreading his arms again and later on he takes flight. His agility is one of the things someone should really be amazed of not only in land but also in air. Even if rocks were thrown at him in the air he’s completely dodging them all without even the smallest one touching him. Then he froze in mid-air. “Sky Raven’s Soaring Shriek!” he casted. A very powerful gust came from his mouth with purple energy, aimed towards his opponent. His opponent did not expect this coming and was completely defenseless during the skill. His crystal was able to take a little bit damage but nevertheless is still a whole. His scratches increased and some of them started bleeding but the fierce look in his face remained the same. Repeating the routine earlier he started throwing various skills at him again. “Art of Solid Rock: Devastating Meteor!” he casted. This move is definitely anew. Spencer thought that his opponent will be shooting rocks at him again but this time, a gigantic rock appeared right above him. The meteor is big enough to completely devastate the whole uphill of Fantasia, but Spencer remained calm. He stayed in the air as he gathered up energy. The tension increases every second that the meteor gets closer to the hill but Spencer seems to be completely ignoring it. I can see the energy around him getting more concentrated than before. He seems to be inhaling the air around him and turning them into purple energy, completely giving him freedom to manipulate the energy flow around him. I have already realized what was about to happen. Judging from his movement he is about to unleash a total suppression art however, after a few moments of his actions, I judged completely wrong. “Sky Raven’s Gathered Tormenting Winds!” A huge pulse of purple tornado appeared in the middle of the field. As that pulsating energy continues immersing in the air, the pressure it had gathered was more than enough to break the meteor. I suddenly saw the real reason why he overdid his concentration: to be able to defend himself completely as he manipulates the flow of energy around him. In just a blink of an eye right after the meteor touches the tornado, it turned into dust. The whole upperhill of Fantasia is covered in dusts and air. All of us were completely blinded by how the immersive flow of energy was able to turn a gigantic meteor into pure dust. Right after a few seconds, when the view was clear we were able to see the post-effect of the energy contradiction. We were all shocked with what we saw. We did just not see the gigantic meteor turn into dust, but the crystal roaming around his opponent was completely gone. We all thought that it might possibly just fly around with the wind, but then we saw sparkles around his opponent. We all saw how his opponent’s crystal is completely turned into dust too which concludes their match. Spencer slowly flies downwards. He immediately concealed his energy and looked away from his opponent. His opponent was also lying down, his face looking sideward. It seems like each round there were surprises that keeps on being revealed and I think the next one would be bigger. We all thought it would just be a proper flow of the tournament, but right after the next match we were all stunned and completely shocked. It was a match that the people have been waiting for most of all. Spencer had already shown his capabilities, and now I guess it is time for another person to unveil their powers and abilities. “Crystal Vanguard with Lightseekers and Prominent Enigmas."
