Battle of the Factions Arc: Four for Four III

1868 Words
[Elio] The exchange of spells and attacks continues as we all try to defeat the other team. The thing is, we are on the losing side mainly because the crystal is within us and we can’t just let it loose because it will definitely be attacks while we’re focusing on fighting these two while on their side, some people on their team are protecting their crystal while Lary and Zhelin are both focused on defeating us and destroying our crystal. This is really hard if you were even in this situation. Imagine fighting against someone while trying to protect something while your opponent fights you with no risk in their hands at all. You wouldn’t have enough time to think about what to do just in case your plan fails. We don’t have a plan though; we just know we have to destroy the crystal of the other team. The fact that we took a lot of time having the chance to think of what to do next was immediately forfeited when Johann burned the entire forest in just a blink. Damn the strength of that guy, it is very strong even for just Al alone but I know that he will be able to fight him fairly. The two of them are still teaming against each other and I can feel the tension that their opponents are experiencing. In the past few battles that I’ve been with Aljinn, I realized that he is greatly improving his skills and abilities. He used to just fight by relying on his spells before but now looking at him fight the leaders of the other factions, I know that he improved because he is using both of his edgelights now and that he is expressing the duke bloodline inside him. Doesn’t it look so rare that we will be seeing a God with a royal bloodline? Bloodlines are used to determine your fighting styles and stances especially in terms of wielding your weapons. Kings and Queens’s use single-hand fighting style with a sword or a rapier making them the most common among all royalties. Dukes and Duchesses on the other side use the dual-sword wielding style, capable of slashing their opponents with both of their hands. Viscounts and Viscountesses are all hunters and or witches, they are the best bloodline known for specializing magic casting. Al is a god and has the bloodline of a duke. Imagine possessing such fame right after living here in Ylgaea. Going back to the battle, I step back as I aim my scepter in the air. “Art of Moonlight; Night of Luminous Fireflies!” I casted. I summoned my fireflies so that I can easily foretell the movements of my opponents. They are after-all archetypes of birds which mean they have the ability to fly, and speaking of fly, right after I called my fireflies, the two of them flies in the air, being completely cautious of my spell. You see, my night of luminous fireflies does not deal any damage at all. It is just there as some sort of tracking skill that can help me find and study my opponents more. Diether already knew this spell which is why he knows it can also help him. He knew the opponents will fly and I know he knew because he smiled and looked at them. “Quite surprising isn’t it, that those fireflies made you so cautious that you didn’t actually see the real thing?” I told them. “Art of Silver Moonlight; Holy Shower!” Diether casted. The opponents became cautious of their surroundings as they hear Diether cast his spell. They already knew what the spell does which is why they know they can’t escape even if they are in mid-air. I realized Diether didn’t continue his spell, he’s probably planning on something but I didn’t know he will though, because I thought we’d be able to lay damage on them through his spell. “You should focus on attacking them, I can feel something coming towards us.” Diether said. I looked at him and saw him totally focused on whatever he’s feeling. I can’t seem to feel what he’s focusing on though; it’s like he is the only one who can feel this presence that he said he felt. I looked back to the people in front of us and I knew I got carried away by Diether’s words. I didn’t realize that they are already preparing something. Immediately after I looked at them I saw a giant sphere above the two of them. The sphere’s color is divided into to: half of it is black and half of it is white. Could this be a synchronized move? “This is why you should focus on your opponents everytime you’re fighting someone, you have no idea what might happen in a second you look away from them.” Ry the dark phoenix said. “Becoming oblivious in the middle of the battle is one of the things you should never forget young guy.” Zhelin the light phoenix continued. I smirked at them and started gathering energy around the core of my scepter. My scepter is not any normal scepter that wizards can hold. You see, right after I realized a series of things here in Ylgaea, I realized that my scepter is not just any normal scepter. A normal wizard beau is composed of a container inside them that is made to gather and contain the energy flowing around us and just like a normal wizard, my scepter also has a core that is responsible of taking in and emancipating energy that the core of my scepter had gathered. In other words, my scepter is an extra container that I possess. I continued gathering energy as the size of the sphere that the two of them are creating increases, trying my best to release a spell that might be able to surpass their combined strength. There is only one spell I know that can help me defend, not only me but our crystal and Diether too. Just like earlier, Diether is still looking in front of him, preparing for what is about to come towards us but I have no time to go along with what he feels, I have to defend our crystal right now. The Logrength Moonlight Guardian. Al created a spell that is very useful at all. Although my own version of logrength guardian is not as strong as what Aljinn can do but the capabilities are almost the same. His logrength guardian is really a big one, even bigger than my moonlight ape which is why his logrength guardian was able to defeat my moonlight guardian before. Now I know which one is better. I was able to cast summon logrength guardian before and it really took a lot of my energy before. Now I just have to use my scepter in order to help me call logrength guardian. “Not always that the stronger one will prevail. Sometimes, all you need is faith and will in order to win.” I told them. “Affinity Mask Art of Moonlight; Logrength Guardian!” I casted. Slowly, my scepter releases energy and molding them into the logrength guardian. I’m giving it the perfect picture of how the logrength guardian should be because after all, molding and masking affinities requires the perfect picture of what you seek and desire. Describing the logrength guardian physically, it is full of flat parts and sharp on especially on the upper part of it. Picture a golem made out of rocks but instead of imagining it as a small one, make it a bigger one then on the shoulders are six spikes all in all, three per shoulder. After a few seconds, they both projected the sphere towards me while our spot is covered by the size of logrength guardian. I commanded the guardian to block the sphere for us. I know that he might not be able to block it completely but it’s better trying than losing at our current state. [Diether] I know what I’m feeling right now can’t be just some random misunderstanding and coincidence. I feel it, I totally feel the flow of energy coming right towards us. I look in front of me carefully without removing my gaze at it even for just a mere second. Elio is focused on dealing with the two people from Volant Argonauts and he’s letting me do my own thing because he knows that this feeling is a serious business. Elio called the logrength guardian to protect us from the synchronized move of the two, the logrength guardian isn’t able to live for much longer but he was able to completely block the sphere in front of us. “Impossible!” Lary shouted. All of the hours that we invested in training isn’t going to waste after all. We all train through our very best in various ways so that we can balance ourselves and this is the proof that we trained a lot. After the energy from logrength guardian completely dissipated to thin air, I immediately felt the presence that I felt earlier. It was a big ball made out of thorns and engulfed with flames. “What is that!” Elio shouted beside me. The ball is travelling so fast that I couldn’t keep up with it, I know that none of my spells will be able to block it but someone appeared right in front of me. “Mightnight Eye; Enhanced Bullets Armaggedon.” Percisca fires both of her guns to where the ball was coming and her guns suddenly shoot out a giant blazing bullet. The size of the bullet is as big as the ball made out of thorns coming right towards us. After the bullet hit the thorns, it immediately turned into butterflies. “Illusion?” she said in front of me. After a few seconds, I felt the presence of another energy coming right towards us but this time it’s not a spell instead a person. There are two presences that I feel and I already have the idea who they are. “Two people incoming.” Percisca told us. “We know that.” I told her. “Hey kid, sometimes being cheerful isn’t bad specially for a kid like you.” she told me. “Says the girl who never smiles.” I told her. “I have my reasons.” she said. “I have mine too.” I told her. “Are we going to argue about how gloomy one another is or are we going to focus on the battle?” Elio told us. “Shut up you idiot.” I told him. “Shut up you idiot.” Percisca told him.
