Battle of the Factions Arc: Four for Four II

“I will expose myself if I use this.” I thought to myself. I have no clue on what to do, the second Johann aimed his hands towards my teammates left me shaking but luckily, Diether was able to do something. Diether immediately emitted a blinding light from his position, confusing and blinding Johann at the same time. I used that opportunity to rush towards him and kick his chest. His body is really big and muscular which is why I know that a kick from my body wouldn’t do much but it should be enough to deal damage to him because he is already weakened from the start. I am very thankful to Meliorne for doing something against this guy. From the very start of the round, I immediately knew that we wouldn’t be able to win against Johann because his will and strength just matches what can an actual god do however, hesitating will not improve myself. With all the courage and will inside my I gathered myself up and decided to fight him without hesitating on what to do in case he is in front of me. In most cases, I will think on what to do just before facing those opponents which is totally common. But after seeing Johann’s capabilities and strength, I knew immediately that I wouldn’t be able to think before fighting him because he dwells so much power and tricks inside him that I know he will not hold back when fighting against me. Yesterday he fought with an opponent that is not even as strong as him but if he were to face someone who equally matches his strength, I know that he wouldn’t hold back. Johann moved a little back from my kick and that’s possibly all that I was able to do with him. I must not forget that he still has an immense strength which is why I can’t let myself be taken advantage. After kicking him, I immediately rushed towards the other two leaders who are exchanging swings of their weapons. The leader of Volant Argonauts, Spencer, doesn’t wield any sort of hand-held weapon but instead his weapon is the sharp edges of energy from both of his arms. He materialized the purple energy around him into sharp edged wings and used them as some sort of weapon. He is really living up his role as a type of bird. Without any hesitations I joined the exchange of weapons and tried hitting the other opponents while keeping up my defense. All of us are continuously swinging and slashing while blocking and defending that we forgot Johann is not yet out of the batlle. “Art of Phanteon Flame; Soldiers’ Will!” Johann casted as he swings his battle axe towards us. We had no choice but to dodge immediately his axe. He looked at me with his fierce eyes and burning aura. His strength suddenly increased as we felt the energy around him slowly trying to gather up and infuse with his body. “Maybe it’s better if I’ll save you for last.” he said while looking at me. “Save me for last?” I think inside my head. He quickly rushed towards the other two people beside me while completely ignoring me as he said. Maybe it isn’t bad going along with what he wants although there is a huge risk coming after this team-up. After all, we only decided not to attack each other but it is not our decision whether our allies will or will not destroy the crystals of the other factions. [Elio] It seems like Al didn’t know what to do exactly at the time that Johann aimed towards me. I have read his mind through his actions and knew that he was about to expose himself which is why I moved immediately and casted a blinding spell so that Johann will be distracted. Al immediately understand my message and took advantage of the situation; kicking Johann while being blinded by my spell. However, what I cannot understand is the fact that neither of the two of them are attacking each other, seems like are teaming. I have no idea if this is not allowed or not but I have no intention of teaming with Johann’s faction. Now I decided to attack their crystal first before attacking the crystals of the other factions. “Diether, we’re attacking their crystals first.” I told him. “We’re only supposed to defend the crystal.” he told me. “Don’t be innocent Diether any moment now one from the remaining teams will attack our crystals too and others will try to attack the crystal of the weakest team and right now, the weakest team is our faction.” I told him. “But-“ I did not let him finish his sentence anymore and I immediately ran towards the crystal of Lightshades. The nearest crystal from our position is the crystal of Volant Argonauts however as I have mentioned before, we are targeting the crystal of Lightshades first so that we can weaken Johann more. Upon checking the whole battlefield, I realized that the strongest person standing right now is the leader of Lightshades: Johann. We have to do something to help Al in his fight and the best thing we could do is destroy the crystal of Lightshades. Diether run along with me towards the crystal of Lightshades. I wouldn’t expect us to walk freely towards their position though, I know that someone will try and attack our crystal while we are running which is why I cautiously check my surroundings while running. Then the first attack came. “Looks like you’re forgetting someone.” The one who blocked our path is Ry, the dark phoenix from Volant Argonauts. We know this will be a rough fight because their numbers are greater than us by about four or five and there’s only two of us protecting our crystal. “We will be fighting you fair and square, two by two.” Zhelin the light phoenix told me. If there would be more dangerous than fighting all of them together it is the fact that we’re fighting the twin phoenixes. Ry and Zhel are both known for their synchronous coordination and understanding in battle. They seem to communicate even though both of them are fighting and can’t completely see each other which is why they are called the Twin Phoenixes. Not to mention, the affinity that both of them are using are opposite from each other which is definitely a hard one. Ry focuses on attacking his targets while Zhelin focuses on support but I won’t say that Zhelin’s abilities are limited to only support. There were instances when Zhelin fought people by herself and her strength is immeasurable just as how Ry’s strength is “This will not be an easy battle.” Ry told me. “I wouldn’t expect us to fight you easily though.” I told him. “Well then, give us your best.” I replied to them. Ry smirked as he wraps his hands with dark energy and formed sharp edges with the materialized energy just like what Spencer did while fighting in the middle of the arena. It certainly looks like all of them are using the same type of weapon. Zhelin did the same thing but this time in light energy. “Shall we start then?” Zhelin said. Diether walks towards my side and grabbed his staff. I grabbed my scepter too and prepared myself. In just a matter of seconds the four of us rushed towards each other and began exchanging spells and weapons. Zhelin and Lary are both very tough opponents but we know that we should be able to manage this. All my life, I’ve wanted to know who that person is. This certain guy beside me in the picture frame inside my tree house, he definitely looks like someone familiar but I can’t seem to see who exactly he looks like. I just saw myself walking in the grass with extreme heat blazing upon the land. Suddenly, I have these memories inside me that I have no idea where it came from. While walking, I felt the presence of a shade during day light which is quite a shock to me because I have no idea how come I had that memory inside me. Maybe this is my first time in Ylgaea but how come I know these things exactly when in fact my memories about Ylgaea is very vague and unclear. Upon reaching a few steps, I saw someone struggling against the shade. “Duck!” I shouted at him. The guy immediately ducked and I called my wisp to attack the shade. Shades are very sensitive to light which is why it is quite a shock that one is wandering in the middle of the day. Maybe because darkness affinity’s weakness is light, the affinity that I possess. Still it did not give me any clear ideas to how could I possibly know these things. That guy I just saved was Aljinn Devio the leader of the faction that I am currently in right now. I know he could help me with this mission that I have for myself, to know exactly what had happened and how come I know these things without any clear ideas of how I obtained them. As I exchange spells and attacks with our opponents, I continue gathering the energy inside me so that I can balance myself in terms of spellcasting. My role is a wizard with the normas bloodline. I’m no special or extraordinary guy, I am but a simple wizard wandering in Ylgaea to find the truth about this world.
