Battle of the Factions Arc: The Logrength Moonlight Guardian

I have no idea of how do my spells affect other people but I have never tried modifying them to affect myself. Modifying spells are troublesome as it may result to various unknown effects especially of you lack concentration of energy. I have never tried modifying my spells before but this time, I did it to protect myself. My spell Altered Reality removes the presence of my targets in the real world for a few minutes and shall come back once the time is done or I have called them back however, my Modified Altered Reality lets me use it on myself, thus removing my main body in the real world and making my existence completely gone. I was transferred in a place I have never seen before and now I feel what people felt when I used this move on them. The place is pure white in every aspect and I can’t seem to see any corners or edges. It looks like it’s not a room but a world itself too. I looked around to check what I might possibly see in here and I was shocked when I saw someone inside it too. I saw a person wrapped in brown cloth and he seems like he’s out of energy. I couldn’t feel any presence of energy inside him and he doesn’t seem to be breathing at all. I have no idea to how he was transferred into this place when in fact I have never put someone inside here since the island of experiences event. I walked immediately towards the person and I saw his body moving bit by bit as if he is really weak. I grabbed his arm and helped him stand up, but after he stood up the hood fell off and yellow hair fell inside it. I had felt this presence before. “Precisca?!” I told her. She looked at me and she smiled. I saw her whole body filled with scratches and bruises as if she has been abused and attacked without holding back. “Quite a shock that you’re here.” she told me. Her voice is still in shape. “What are you doing here?” I asked her. “I should be asking you that.” she told me. “Answer my question first.” “I was fighting a group of people and apparently they have someone who can transfer people into different places. Just when I was about to hit one of them, I was immediately transferred back and forth into this place, getting hit every time I leave. Now I am stuck here.” she explained. “Let me put you out.” I told her. “But you will need my help.” I continued. “I don’t need your assistance, god.” she told me. “I’m not the one who will actually help you.” I told her. I opened my palm and the sign of disciple appeared in it. Maybe this is the time to ask for a help from him. “Summon!” I casted. In a matter of seconds, a light appeared in front of us and a person went right through it. “I was called?” I saw a completely unfamiliar person. “H- hi who are you?” I asked him. “It’s me Mico! Your disciple! How could you have forgotten?” he said with a faint laugh. I was totally shocked by what I saw. I did not expect him to completely change like this. Everything about him is different from before including his hair style and color. “I need to ask you a favor.” I told him. “What is it?” “I’ll be transferring the two of you to where she was earlier, and I need you to use your affinity to protect her at all cost. Can you do that?” “That should be completely easy.” he told me. I held the two of them and sent them to where Precisca was before through her Midnight Eye magic. Right after the two of them vanished, I visualized the place where I was earlier with my illusion art. I envisioned exactly what is currently going on outside and I see everybody shocked with what happened. They must have thought that I died. Without wasting any second, I positioned myself behind Xeppino and wielded my edgelights again. I pointed it at him so that the second I transfer back to the real world I can easily slice him. So I transferred myself. Without any hesitation, I swiftly swing my hands in front of me, slashing Xepinno’s back and he was able to take damage. He immediately ran forward to avoid any more hits coming from my sword. “You’re really something.” he told me. “I couldn’t just give up that easy.” I told him. Suddenly there was a loud roar in the whole battlefield. It looks like they are amazed by the turn of events. I remain completely unscathed but the energy inside me is near to being empty. I did not hesitate using the rest of my energy anymore. He flies up again and did something that I just saw right now. It seems like a beam is about to come out of his mouth and I have no idea completely on what it will do but I use the energy around me again to let me move as quick as I can. No matter how fast I run, the beam moves exactly to where I go and I will soon run out of energy. Right immediately after he stopped for a second, I casted. “Art of Illusion; Dance of a Thousand Blades!” He was aware of that move already. He looked behind him and did the same thing earlier to how he stopped my swords. “Multiply!” Another group of swords appeared on the floor and is pointed above this time. I multiplied the amount of swords I made and immediately aimed it at him. He wasn’t ready for that so the swords just flew straight towards him, taking direct damage. He fell straight on the ground and seems to have lost his consciousness. I won the battle. I did it. “And Edgeseekers won! Who would have thought that a newly formed faction will be able to defeat the almighty Chronus Owl, Xeppino!” The large uproar began again. Everybody was shocked completely on the sequence of events and I was happy too on how it turned out. I saw Elio and Diether walking towards me and started hugging me after they reached me. I cried in tears, the tears of happiness and joy and the feeling of victory over a match. However, the battle is not yet over. Things are just getting interesting as the day moves one. The next battle should begin right after this growl of surprise. We all went back to our places and everyone became quiet again. Xeppino was healed thanks to one of their members and he looked at me with a smile. I smiled back at him too and I am happy that he is all alright now. The other members of Volant Argonauts are also smiling at me and waving towards me. So this is what it feels like to be glorious, even if it is a simple match. Nevertheless, the next match shall begin. “Our next fight would be Midnight Shootout with Prudent Orcas and Edgeseekers!” Dio announced. What Precisca predicted did happen, however it wasn’t me who will compete and instead Elio. We all knew about Precisca’s predictions but they intended to change it. Elio is now more prepared than he did yesterday, and he knows something will come at him. The same member he fought yesterday is the chosen representative and his opponent still carries that devilish smile. Elio glares at him with his fists open and unclenched. Normally, Elio would clench his fist to show what he feels, but this time his glare comes along with patience and confidence as if he knows he will win. The two of them step into the battlefield and Dio started the countdown, and then he fired the gun. As expected, his opponent carries the same dirty trick yesterday and tried aiming for Elio again. The dark energy that is coming at Elio just passed right through him. “Do you really think darkness can subdue light?” he told his opponent. He vanished in land and appeared right in the air. The main goal of the battle is to shoot the stars and not just hit your opponent. “Art of Moonlight; Gathered Purple Linings!” Elio manipulates and creates moving things around him with the same affinity. That skill of him is totally different than what he was before. He used to just summon and summon living creatures from his energy and now he’s manipulating mobile things at easy as long as it is related to light. All the stars in mid-air are interconnected with some sort of purple beams. After a single blink, all of the stars in mid-air suddenly exploded, giving points to Elio. He is able to achieve 100 points at the start of the battle. He finds it really hard to cope with his current battle because his opponent still aims at him while Elio focuses on hitting the stars. I thought Elio will have the patience to just focus on the stars on the whole match, but it seems like I was wrong. He tried attacking his opponent too. “Moonlight Ape!” he said. The moonlight ape appeared right in front of his opponent. The ape swings its hands above and smashed it into the ground, creating a very big pressure on land. His opponent immediately dodged it and moved backwards. Elio did not call back the ape and instead ordered it to chase his opponent. It might seem a very good tactic but he should not forget that as long as his ape is visible in the field, it will continuously drain his energy. Among the four of us, Elio is the one who trained the most in terms of energy concentration. Elio should be able to win this unless his opponent carries something in his sleeves. His opponent vanished completely into the words and Elio couldn’t order his ape to go further. “Such a cowardly move.” he said. “But that is not enough to keep you from hiding.” he continued. “Art of Moonlight; Night of Luminous Fireflies!” He used the same move before when he was able to track his surroundings by the presence of the fireflies roaming around the map. All of his summoned fireflies immediately fly around the forest, giving Elio the ability to sense  energy and presence of people caught in the firefly. “Found you!” he said. “Fireflies, Explode!” Consecutive explosions appeared around the map. The explosions were not as big as everyone thought it will be but the amount of explosions are enough to completely burn the forest. His opponent had no move but show himself as the forest continue to burn in the daylight. “You’re going to stay there until I win this.” Elio said. “Go, appear Logrength Guardian!” His words shocked me as soon as something appeared right in front of everyone. He was able to copy my Logrength Guardian in his own affinity. I am very proud and happy for Elio. He did improve a lot during these past few days that we have been together and I am happy that he continues to strive forward. His will to win this competition and goal is what gives me more spirit to win this competition. After everything that we have done, we might actually have the chance to win this, or at least be in second place. But being in second place will never be an option. The logrength guardian starting chasing his opponent, making his opponent completely distracted while Elio’s fireflies continue to explode above him, giving him more points while leaving his opponent at zero points. He has definitely improved and became better. The time given had ended and Elio was able to eliminate all the stars that appeared right above him and his opponent is stuck at zero. Elio looked at us with his cheerful smile and a positive thumbs up. I smiled back at him too. “Now that is what you call an outstanding performance! He is definitely not the same person that we had seen before everybody!” Dio announced. Elio walks back to our place and the next competition has been announced. A lot of things has been unexpected lately, and one of them is the fact that we have been called three times in a row for no reason. “It looks like it is not yet time for Edgeseekers to take a break yet-“ Before Dio could finish his words, Elio’s opponent started attacking again. He must probably have no idea on where he was shooting or whom he was shooting that the attacks were all aimed at Dio. Dio felt the presence of the energy immediately, “Art of the Northern Giants; Terrorizing Growl!” A very loud roar was heard all throughout the whole map. The energy that is coming right at Dio dissipated before it could even touch him. “Who the hell said you can attack while I was talking you i***t?!” Dio said. “For that, I’m removing Prudent Orcas from the lineup!” Dio announced too. “That’s totally unfair!” one of them shouted. “Oh? Is that so?” Dio glared at Prudent Orcas. “Since it is your turn next and your opponent is still Edgeseekers, if you win on the next match, then I will let you progress further, but if you lost, you are forbidden to join the tournament forever.” Dio said. Suddenly, fear wrapped the rest of the people in Prudent Orcas but ignoring that fact, Diether started walking towards his place. “Edgeseekers is ready, come and take your positions you fools!” Dio said. Their representative walked towards the battlefield and he is one of the people that we have never seen participating yesterday. What more could Prudent Orcas hold that could cause more trouble to our faction? “Let me continue. For the next round, it will be Fortress Defense with Edgeseekers and Prudent Orcas!” “There will be a change in this battle; the two of you will be defending your fortress completely while attacking your opponent’s fortress! It means the damage will be done by you yourselves!” The minor change in this battle did not change Diether’s will to win. He just concentrated on gathering the energy around him as his opponent just glare at him. It seems like this battle will be rough. The platform in the middle arose. The two of them are far from each other and giant boulder appeared in front. It seems like the boulder is the one that they have to defend and their opponent’s is the one that they have to destroy. This one seems very complicated to me but fair. I have no idea if they have to stay in their position, but knowing how broad Diether’s affinity can reach, I think this should be easy. “You may start in 3, 2 and 1.” Dio said and right after fired his gun. “Art of Dark Ice; Crying Devil’s Tears!” The field suddenly became cold and the ambience became dark even though it is currently afternoon.  The afternoon I’m referring to is not the afternoon that is almost night, but the newly came afternoon. The sun should be shining radiantly at this point, but the affinity of Diether’s opponent wrapped the field in mere darkness. “Art of Silver Moonlight; Dance of the Melodious Swan.” Diether casted calmly. The dark ambience of the field fights with the light that Diether is emitting. Along with the darkness comes a coldness that is bothering. His opponent mentioned Dark Ice and it gave me the idea that it might have something to do with darkness and ice. It seems very obvious though, but possessing such affinity with two effects is quite admirable. Diether’s rock gave a cracking sound. I heard his opponent giving a faint laugh. “That’s pathetic.” Diether told his opponent. “Holy Gathering.” Diether casted. Diether’s fortress was wrapped in light which faded after a few seconds. Diether doesn’t seem very cautious about his fortress but he showed his opponent what he is capable of. “Tsk.” his opponent whispered. “Holy Shower!” A giant invisible light appeared on his opponent’s rock and it seems like there is a force of gravity being placed on top of the rock. Slowly, pieces of the rock is being removed and it gives the same cracking sound that Diether’s rock did earlier. “Frozen Barrier.” In an instant, his opponent’s fortress was wrapped in ice with a very dark color. The ambience on his side became dark again while Diether’s remained shining. “This will not end really well kid.” his opponent said. “If you’re looking for a proper fight, then I’ll give it to you.” he responded. “Art of Silver Moonlight; Prayers of the Disciples!” A wild blinding light appeared in the middle of the battlefield. “Hole Shower, Silver Judgement, Ancient Wisdom Gathering.” Diether released consecutive spells one by one as if he is overwhelming with energy. He doesn’t seem like he’s slowly running out of energy though, ignoring the fact that his rock is still wrapped with light particles, it seems as if he’s doing it really well. Last night during our self-trainings, Diether just read books. At first I thought he gives no interest in training his energy until I saw what the book he’s reading is about. It’s a book that he has been holding ever since he was a kid based on what he told us. The book contains spells and informations given to him by Suthain. He had held really good of the book ever since he was young and knew that it is one of the gifts given to him by Suthain. He never runs out of energy because faith is his power, will and spirit to win this competition. It is emotionally biased but we are all doing this for a reason not because of fame and not because of wealth but personal reasons that will answer the questions that we all have to ourselves. His opponent’s rock suddenly broke into pure ash while his rock remained as a whole. Diether ended the competition as early as he can. Everything went back to normal after Diether had already won. “Since you have lost, you are out of the tournament you weaklings!” Dio told the Prudent Orcas. They were able to keep up a fight because I saw Diether sweat. Although he did not flinch or move back even a bit, but the sweat in his face shows otherwise. Diether looked at us and smiled. We all smiled at him and ran towards him. We all hugged him with warmth and happiness. “You’re way too close!” Diether told us. “Geez, can’t you be a cute little kid even for once?” Elio said. “Shall we proceed then?” Dio said. Then upon the continuation of the tournament, only four factions remain: Lightshades, Volant Argonauts, Divine Resonance and lastly us, Edgeseekers.
