Pre-Arc: The Minisveria Mystery

The very last part of the tournament has been interesting. There are only four factions left and all four of us must do our best to win our own battles. In my previous battles, it has been very hard and I can’t cope enough with my opponents. Even Elio and Diether had a hard time but this is not the time for us to give up, we must give our best more and expand our limitations. The other three remaining factions are the most famous in Ylgaea. They are known to possess unique affinities and great powers that give them fame. Ranking first is the Lightshades, coming next is the Volant Argonauts and the last one is Divine Resonance. All three guilds had kept their ranking constant for the past years ever since they joined the annual tournament. We on the other side had worked hard for our current position even though it is our first time joining the competition. After Diether’s match, Dio decided to give us a break from the tournament. He gave us at least an hour to give us all a break. He did not hide the next part of the tournament though. He told us that the next part would be an all-in where all members will be competing in a crystal vanguard fight. All of the factions went out of the battlefield through the portal that Dio had opened. We all went to our separate ways faction by faction. Elio thought that we could take a quick break in the nearest tavern from the portal, Diether and I agreed. The portal teleported us right towards the guild house and the nearest tavern from the guild house is just some walks away. [Precisca] That god has always been reliable. I never thought he’d be the one saving me and returning the favor I did for him the past days that we have met. I have no intention of taking advantage of someone like him, but his help is the one that I need the most. I have been exiled from my own country because I have been sued for thievery on one of the most protected artifacts in my world. You see, magic never existed in my world; all of us are just mere elves living until the protection of a deity that we all believe in. That deity developed ten sacred artifacts that give its possessors the capability to possess magic-like powers. I was born with a power that is called Midnight Eye. The source of it is unknown and we do not have even the slightest clue to what might be the reason that I was gifted with such power. Due to this, I have been sued as a thief because right after I have been exposed in this world, one of the artifacts went missing and I was the one to blame for it. You see, having this supernatural ability is not as fun as you think it is. Every power comes at a great price and so does mine. My midnight eye lets me enhance any of my senses and improve my mobility everytime I use it however, if I overuse it, it lets me do more than I never thought I can but at a cost. For example, I have just learned that with my midnight eye, I can enhance my sight to the point that I can see the future however; it drains the peculiar energy inside me. It seems like even the people in this world can’t identify what kind of powers I dwell in fact, they don’t even know that I possess these powers except for those who possess powers greater than mine. Only two out of three people that I’ve met personally were able to identify and sense my powers. Nevertheless, the god is indeed reliable in some ways. I never thought I’d be seeing him in that dimension where my opponent brought me earlier. I’m breathing really hard right now because every part of my body is in pain. The fact that I overused my midnight eye last night makes me unable to recover much of the energy inside me. He called his assistant beside me, or so disciples as they call it in this world. He immediately teleported us both back to where I was and I see three of my opponents in front of me. “Well, well, well, it looks like we have another visitor.” he said. These people are not actual people but elves like me too. They came from the world as I am towards here to capture me. I am quite low in energy. These people are one of those who dwells the artifacts. “Bubblio; Water Torrent!” one of them said. “These are not magic.” the guy beside me had said. “You just realized now that we don’t use magic?” I told him. “No, but I realized they are still way under me and needs more training. Art of Concealment; Vague Memory!” he shouted in the middle of the dark road. I was shocked by what he did. Even though his opponents do not use magic, he was still able to remove the attacks projected at us. “That’s surprising.” I told him. “Are we just going to praise each other here or are we having some butts to kick?” he told me. “Quite energetic, I like that.” I told him. I took out one of the daggers behind me and wielded it; pointing it towards where I will go. After a few seconds, I immediately started rushing towards one of them without realizing that the one who transfers people to another dimension is still beside him. “Wrong move, little girl. Eurekria;Dimension Transport.” he casted. “Don’t forget I’m here. Art of Concealment; Hidden Reality!” I have not the slightest idea of what had happened but the two people in front of me seemed really confuse and don’t know what to do. Without any hesitations, I slashed one of them in the neck while the other moved a few steps back, totally confused on what had happened. I looked back at them immediately and saw the person I slashed suffering on the ground. “You should have not followed me here.” I told them. “Shut up you thief, you’re still not experienced enough to defeat us. You know this could have been gone on the easy way where you cease the stolen artifact but instead you decided to fight us.” the person with the dimension powers said. “I did not steal the last artifact trust me.” I told them. “Your words can’t protect you now. After what you have done there is no way you’re going away easily.” he told me. “Let’s do it.” the other guy said. “Artifacts of Minisveria, unleash!” the two of them had said. Suddenly, there is a rising flood on the land. The water continues to rise while the side of the two of them remains completely dry. It seems like he only decided to target me and the other guy but- The other guy was gone. I didn’t know where he went but he is surely gone. “I teleported him to another dimension while you were way too busy praising your own foolishness. Now that you’re all alone again, what can you possibly do?” he said. “Don’t make a sound.” I heard somebody whispered in my ears. I did not look around but I kept the voice I heard inside my head. “Where are you?” I told him telepathically. This is one of the abilities I can do with my midnight eye; I enhances my hearing and my mind to the point where I can communicate with others through telepathy. “I’m just right behind you. I have been transferred to another dimension once and I already know how to counter such spell. Now all I need for you to do is remain calm and I will vanish both of our presence until we have fully escaped from this situation.” he said via telepathy. “I will wait.” I told him. I looked at the two people in front of me again. “Sometimes, it is pathetic that you have to go here just to try and capture me. No matter what you do, you will never catch someone who doesn’t have to pay back for being completely innocent.” I told them. “Are you still really going to tell us that you didn’t steal the last artifact? That’s stupid, your powers explain it all!” “Now!” I shouted. The person behind me unleashes a blinding light that immobilizes the two people in front of me. During the time that they are both immobilized, I felt his hands grasping my left arm and chanted, “Art of Concealment; Vanishing Point!” And in a mere second, we completely escaped that battle.
