The Minisveria Mystery Arc II

[Percisca] I have explained everything to them without desiring the action of lying. I know lying to them will definitely be useless because in the end, I will only end up being exposed. I have no regrets; I can say that to myself. I have no regrets telling them who I am, what I am and what my mission exactly is. I want to accomplish this one thing that I want to accomplish. I want to go back to my world; I want to show them that they have accused me wrong and that I was bestowed with this gift for a reason. How can I possibly finish this mission if I don’t even know in the first place how to go back to my own world? I could have used the help of the person that attacked me last time during the battle of the factions but he entirely oppose against me. I can’t use my power at him because he possesses power greater than mine. My midnight eye is only usable on other people if I possess the same strength or greater strength than them.  During that time when I was fighting them, I can’t use my midnight eye on them because I have used my power too much already and that they still have greater power than mine. Maybe at first I can use it against them, control them with this gift if only I haven’t used much of my power yet but I have to help the god too if he is ever able to help me get back to my own world. Right, I can just help the god in whatever he needs and ask him to help me get back to my world rather than asking that guy with an artifact. This way, I will accomplish my mission faster than I have ever anticipated. “What are we supposed to do now exactly?” the god asked. “We have to find the people first who are currently here. For the mean time, we have to close the gate to prevent other people from entering.” I told them. “That’s not possible. We cannot close the gate because it is interconnected with the other gates. If we close this one, the other gates will close too thus disrupting the flow of events in the church.” the archbishop said. “Would you rather it explode then, destroying the church and worse – if possible – the whole world of Ylgaea?” I ask him. “That’s –“ the archbishop hesitated before continuing. “Percisca has a point, we need to close the gate.” the god explained. My eyes widened in shock from his words. I never thought that he’d actually agree with me. I thought he will be angry at me – or worse possibly fight me but he’s not that type of guy. This person – or god – has the softest heart of all. I owe him big time. I look at him, and he smiled at me. “You’re our friend already, Percisca. If this is the favor that we can help you with, why shouldn’t we help you right?” the god says. Slowly, I felt tears in my eyes. This is the second time I felt something like this: an emotional eustress that makes me soft, weak and really fragile. Ever since I was a kid, I was trained to be as strong as I can be without relying on anyone because that is how my father raised me. My father is a soldier in the ministry in Minisveria. He’s a leader of one of the platoons there. His platoon is known to be one of the best soldiers to protect the ministry – or government in the simplest of words. I’m his only child, which is why he raised me to be tough and independent on other people. My mother died immediately after giving birth to me. That is one of the common saddening casualties in my world. In Minisveria, everybody is an elf. Elves do not exist in other worlds but only here in Minisveria. As far as I know, elves are just myths in Ylgaea just like dragons though dragons are already proven to be real from our last mission – which is currently discreet – but nevertheless, us elves all live in one world. In Minisveria, once a female elf is pregnant, there is a higher rate of them dying right after giving birth. Some say it’s a curse, some say it’s to control the rate of life in Minisveria. My world isn’t overpopulated, don’t think that it is. It’s very big and just perfect as the way it was created.  My dad was mad at me after realizing that I possess this power for no reason. He has never believed me, my statements, my defenses and my words. All he thought is that I stole the last artifact. That last artifact is the strongest of all artifacts. Each artifact is arranged from the weakest to the strongest based on its number. There are ten artifacts all in all: the first one is Bubblio, an artifact capable of creating water from the artifact or the target area and that’s all that is can do. The second one is Baga which is capable of creating fire from the artifact itself or the target location. The third one if Ihip, an artifact capable of creating wind currents around the possessor of the artifact. The fourth one is Lupa, an artifact capable of manipulating solid objects and molding them into various forms according to the possessor of the artifact’s will. The fifth one is Habagat, an artifact capable of creating storms around the caster according to their will. The sixth one is Gawa, the artifact capable of creating anything solid based on his own imagination. The seventh artifact is Lagpas, the artifact capable of making the caster phase through matter at will, from the solid up to the highest state of matter. The eighth one is Linlang, the artifact capable of creating illusions that are nothing but made of light. The ninth one is Eurekria, the artifact – I bet you already know – that is the most annoying of all, the artifact capable of transporting someone from places even dimensions if the caster is capable of doing it. Lastly, the tenth artifact, strongest of all: Lakas, the artifact capable of giving the caster capabilities that even the strongest elf can’t do. The last artifact is said to be stolen right before the coronation. During the coronation of the chosen dwellers of the artifacts, one of the elf knights noticed that there are only nine artifacts in the room where all of them are hidden. Doesn’t it seem rather odd that the last artifact will be missing right before the coronation? Those artifacts could’ve been stolen days before the coronation because it’s just right there displayed in a room where nobody can go. Tears continue to fall in my eyes as my body weakly falls into the ground. My knees are trembling as I cover my face with my palms while tears continue to fall in my eyes. I feel weak and happy at the same time, contented and satisfied. I’m going back home. I’m going to clear my name. I’m coming back to you Andrei. “Stand up from there Percisca, we have a mission to finish, right?” the god calls me. He lends me his hand while he smiles at me. The other two walks along behind him and looks at me. “It doesn’t matter what you think of us. The important thing is we all have memories to share together and that we have already been close ever since. We’ve had a lot of things to share and cherish, and that will always remain inside us.” Diether speaks. I lend my hand firmly to Aljinn and stand up while stutteringly speaking, “Thank you all. I really appreciate this.” “How can we know exactly how much are there here in Ylgaea?” Aljinn asks. “There are five of them here in Ylgaea.” the archbishop says. “Run.” We all look at him. “I have counted the times that the rift occurred. Since the elf says the rift didn’t occur when she came here but instead triggered it, there is a total of five people that travelled from the Minisveria dimension towards Ylgaea.” the archbishops said. “That should be easy.” Elio said. “No it’s not, stupid.” Diether replies. “Those five could’ve been anywhere Ylgaea. Did you forget Ylgaea is a world not just a city? And those five people are looking for Percisca. We have to be careful; we still don’t know the capabilities of those five people.” Dither replies. “I already figured out two of them. One of them uses an artifact capable of creating water pressures and the other one is dangerous, a power capable of teleporting people to another place. Remember when you saw me inside that white room? He teleported me there.” I told them. “So he is the reason why you were there.” Aljinn says. “White room you say?” the archbishop says. We all look at him. “Don’t tell me that room is –“ the fairy says. “That’s definitely the world of judgement. It’s not a room but rather a world, an illusionary one. It is a world where we archbishops gather for meetings.” the archbishop says. “How come it’s accessible to everyone?” I ask. “Run.” “It’s not specifically everyone.” the archbishops explain. “It’s only accessible to people who possess light affinity or affinities related to it.” “But there is this guy who can transport people there that doesn’t even use magic.” I told him. “I have no explanation for that.” the archbishop confusedly replies. “How will we find them then?” Elio asks. “Two of them is here in the western region.” I told them. “I see.” Aljinn said. “We should go and find them then.” Elio said. “Before that, there is also another thing that I haven’t told you yet.” I told them. They all look at me before they continue walking outside. “This church. The church that you are currently seeing.” I told them. “What about it?” Diether asks. “It’s not the actual church that the god of light Suthain established.” I told them. “What do you mean?” Aljinn asks. “It’s not called Minisveria for any reason.” I told them. “This church is the church established in Minisveria.” I continue. “This church is not actually called Minisveria but rather a different name. However, after a few rifts and travels from another dimension it seems like the church in Minisveria has been transferred here.” I told them. “That’s odd, how come I remember the name of the church is Minisveria?” the archbishop asks. “I don’t know what the explanation for that is. The only thing I know is that I arrive here with the same look but different name. The name of the church is supposed to start with K, but I can’t recall the name completely.” I explain. “Run.” “Kalawakan.” Diether says. “This church is called Kalawakan which means space. This church is established by Suthain in order to give recognition to all of the deities here in Ylgaea.” he continues. “You’re just telling this to us now?” Elio speaks. “I was confused at first. I have no idea what happened exactly but after a combination of some clues, I decided to speak up.” Diether says, Suddenly, we hear something – a growl, a roar and it sounds very angry. “What is that?” Diether ask. “Don’t tell me.” I said. The god felt it too: the presence of a dragon. “This can’t be possible.” he asks. He immediately grabbed the egg from his dimensional bag and placed it outside. “Is that a dragon’s egg?” the fairy asks. “Let’s just keep this a secret.” Aljinn told them. The egg started rattling and shaking on its own place. Slowly, the color of the egg started vanishing and the egg is slowly dissipating into the air just as how a magic energy is diffused. Then after a few seconds, the egg completely vanished but the insides of it remained. We saw a small dragon. “How are you all so stupid that you can’t hear a simple whisper?! Do you ears need some help to the point that it might probably be deaf already?! You stupid humans! I kept on saying run, run, run and run but nobody listened!” the dragon shouts in tantrums. The voice is not as loud as the growl earlier. It just happened to be some sort of kid’s voice. Apparently, it has the same pitch and volume as Diether’s voice.
